The third annual Tokeland Art Walk will be held April 25, 2009 in Tokeland. Many artists open their studios while other artists display their art at the Tokeland Hotel. Grab a map from the Hotel & other local businesses! Be sure to mark your calendar for this fun event in Tokeland.
Plans are being formulated for a Mother's Day Tea to be held on May 3, 2008 at the Tokeland Hotel. Check back on this website for finalized plans.
Tokeland is home to the world's only "Tokeland Fourth of July Parade". In 2008, the parade will be held on July 5, 2008 since the actual "fourth" is during the week. Anyone and anything is eligible as a parade entry. Come on down, bribe the judges and see if you can win a trophy! The parade forms at 10:00 AM near the docks in Tokeland. On July 5th, 2008 beginning at 9:00 AM there will be a SAND CASTLE BUILDING CONTEST at the Warrenton Cannery beach approach, sponsored by the Minit Market of North Cove. Fun for the whole family! The North Cove Sand Castle Contest will be held on July 6, 2008. The contest begins at 9:00 AM, with judging to commence at 12:00 noon. Entry fee is $1.00. You may pre-register at the North Cove Minit Market, or simply show up at the Warrenton Cannery Road Beach approach on the morning of July 6. There are catagories for both adults and children (note: every child wins a prize!). This year, the first place adult category receives $100! With second and third place receiving $50 and $30 respectively. In conjunction with the Sand Castle Contest, the North Cove Minit Market also holds a cash raffle. The third annual WoodFest is scheduled for August 2nd and 3rd, 2008. Previous WoodFests held in Tokeland have been a huge success. Wood artisans may make application to the Tokeland/North Cove Chamber of Commerce by writing to P.O. Box 132, Tokeland, WA 98590-0132.
The "Out Of The Box" wine tasting and art show will be held at the Tradewinds-On-The-Bay Motel in Tokeland on September 20, 2008. The art show will open at 12:00 noon with the wine tasting event going on from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Specialty "Out of The Box - Tokeland" wine glasses will be for sale during this event.
The Totally Tokeland Treasures Quilt Show will be held on Saturday, October 13th from 10-5 and Sunday, October 14th from 10-2 at the Bayshore RV Park clubhouse. Visitors to the show are invited to vote on the quilts in five different categories. Best of Show, People's Choice, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Come and enjoy the work of these talented artists.
