Hamlet Images

I made these images using Paint Shop Pro 7. They each took me a little over an hour (sometimes longer because I'm picky). All the quotes are from the Hamlet play, except for the Gertrude one. That is from "Gertrude Talks Back." I'll have a couple notes after each image:

Hamlet

I drew this picture of Hamlet on my computer.  To get the look in the background I used the "lights" feature.  The picture is gray like Hamlet's mood.

Ophelia

This is my favorite.  I drew a sketch of Ophelia and scanned it into the computer.  I then found a picture of some daises and turned them blue for the water look.  Then I pasted the sketch of Ophelia on the flowers and made it so it looked like she was fading into them and I added text.

Claudius

I found a couple images of Claudius from the Branagh version of Hamlet on the Internet. (This was actually fairly hard to do.  Took me awhile to find any good images from the movie.)  I then put him on a funky red background using the "burn" effect.

Gertrude

Another image from the Branagh version.  Found a picture of a white rose I liked too, so I decided to use that.  For both Claudius and Gertrude I used reds to convey that feeling of lust.

Rosencrantz & Guildenstern

The shining sponges! ^_^  Made them to look fairly simple.  Used the "sunburst" effect on the sponges.
