SYNOPSIS
Battle Angel Alita is set in the dim and distant future when the majority of the Earth's denizens are no longer human, but rather cyborgs.
Alita(Gally in the manga) is a cyborg found half-dead by Cyborg doctor Eido on a scrap heap with absolutely no memory of who she is. Eido repairs her, by giving her a new body, and cares for her as if she were his own child. When Alita is 'forced' into combat for the fist time she realizes that she has craving for battle and later sets out to become a hunter warrior(bounty hunter), to fully utilize this new found skill.
In starting her new job she finds herself fighting against many foes like spine thieves, the brain-eating gladiator Greweicia, the sinister Mr. Vector, and the beautiful but ruthless Dr. Chiren.
But Alita finds her greatest threat to be from the mysterious factory when a bounty for her best friend is released, Alita must make a terrible choice between her own code of honor and the life of the man she loves.
