Baragon was first sighted in 1967, when it ravaged the Japanese countryside. The creature was thought to have been killed by the Frankenstein monster. Either it was not killed or a second Baragon appeared...just in time to be captured and brought to the Ogasawara Islands for study in 1999.
This Baragon was released during the Kilaak Incident of 1999 and destroyed the city of Paris. Baragon was present, but did not join the battle that led to King Ghidrah(old)'s final defeat.
Kaiju Rating:**
Varan first appeared in 1957, but was thought to have been killed when an explosive device was detonated inside him. Varan rose again in 1999, but was quickly captured for the Ogasawara Islands. Varan was another of the ten monsters released during the Kilaak Incident. He was also present, but did not take part in, the final battle at the foot of Mount Fuji. Varan was returned to Ogasawara after the battle.

Manda was the god of the undersea kingdom of Mu, in the Pacific. In 1963, when the Mu planned to relieve the world of the surface-dwellers, they were stopped by the super-submarine, Atragon. The Mu sent Manda to destroy the Atragon, but the monster was defeated and frozen at the bottom of the ocean.
Manda was raised up in 1999 to be taken to the Ogasawara Islands. During the Kilaak Incident, Manda, along with Godzilla, Mothra, and Rodan, laid waste to Tokyo. Manda was returned to Ogasawara after the Kilaaks had been defeated.

The Super-Sub, Atragon.
Gorosaurus was first seen on Mondo Island, which also happened to be the resting place of King Kong. Gorosaurus fought with and was killed by King Kong.
Later in 1999, a second Gorosaurus was captured to be studied at the Ogasawara Islands. It was released during the Kilaak Incident, and assisted the monster Baragon in leveling Paris. It later took part in and played a crucial part in the final battle to get King Ghidrah(old). After the battle Gorosaurus was returned to Ogasawara.
