Bio:

Shinji, Gendou's son, is the pilot of EVA-01. His father's lack of attention and his mother's death left Shinji to develop a restrained and quiet character. However he is always trying to change himself to overcome his quietness. Misato, who acts as mother or big sister for Shinji, helps him a lot in finding the right way. Shinji feels a deep hatred for his father, who neglected when he was still an infant and is now using him as a tool for NERV. On the other hand he feels strangely attracted to Rei although he does not know why.
