Team Sentai: Choriki Sentai OH Ranger


Hyper Task Force OH Ranger

The "OH" (I believe) stands for Overtech Hardware-a term that means ultrasuperior technology.

In the year 1999, the Machine Empire Baranioa, an ancient race of sentieint androids, attacks Mother Earth. Colonel Naoyuki (Played by veteran actor Hiroshi Miyauchi) call forth five young adults from the united airforce (UA) to create Hyper Task Force OH Ranger. Miura, a scientist who has studied the paranormal forces of ancient super civilization, has developed bioenhancer suits that are powered by TH energy-tetrahedron, a triangular based pyraimd. The OH Rangers transform using their power bracelets: energy bracelet on the right wrist and the Suit-pack bracelet on the left; OH Rangers shout "Choriki Henshin" (Super power change) to henshin to OH Ranger.

The Oh Rangers consists of:

Capt.Goro Hoshin/OH Red (Masaru Shishindo)-At omly 25, Goro is the first one to join OH Ranger and thus, becomes their leader. He is also an expert in Karate, judo and Kendo.His individual weapon is the Star Riser

First Lt.Shohei Yokkaichi/OH Green (Kunio Masaoka)-Although he's 2 years older than Goro, Shohei is deemed second in command. His Boxing skills are unmatched. his individual weapon is the Square Crusher (axe).

First Lt.Yuji Mita/OH Blue (Masashi Goda)-A 20 year old fencing expert. His individual weaopn is the Delta Tonfa.

First Lt.Juri Nijo/OH Yellow (Ayumi Aso)-A martial artist skilled in different styles, she has charm and beauty. Her individual weapon is the Twins Batons.

First Lt.Momo Maruo/OH Pink (Tamao)-The youngest of the team, this sexy ranger is a master of Aikido and Chinese Kenpo. Her individual weapomn is Circle Defenser.

Each Ranger also carries the standard Battle Stick and King Blaster, which can be combined into the more powerful "King Smasher" weapon, while their individual weapons can be formed to create "the Big Bang Buster".

Of course, no sentai program would be complete without their Super Mecha. In this case,there called Super Power Mobiles, which combine into the mighty "OH Ranger Robo"; These mecha were developed by UA, utilizing a fusion of ancient superscience and the latest in modern Earth technonlogy.

The Super Power Mobiles consists of:

Sky Phoenix:A bird like fighter/bomber piloted by OH-Red, it carries the giant roller, a huge tire that's fired from the launcher to the forces of Barnoia. It's main weapon is the Phoenix beam; Becomes OH-Robo's Head!!

Grand Taurus: OH-Green's giant bull. It's main weapon is the Taurus beam, which is fired from the horns; transforms into OH-Robo's lower half!!

Dash Leon: OH-Blue's Sphinx robot.It's main weapon is the Leon shot, a forehead mounted double cannon; it becomes OH-Robo's torso and arms!!

Dogu Lander: OH-Yellow's mecha is based on the ancient Dogu (Earth Doll) statues which some people feel represent ancient astronauts. it's main weapon(s) are the Twin Dogu Vulcans (rapid fire cannons) and it's sidearms called dogu bazookas (large beam guns).Not only does it transform into OH-Robo's left leg but when linked up chariot-style to Grand Taurus...it becomes to becomes Taurus Lander!!!!!

Moai Raider:Oh-Pink's mecha is based on the Moai statues of Easter Island. It's main weapon(s) are the Moai cannon (a beam cannon mounted on top of it's head) and the Moai Launchers (Carrying five missiles each) on both side. Transforms into OH-Robo's right leg. And just like Dogu Lander, can link up with Dash Leon, to become Leon Raider!!

Later in the series, we find out that Emperor Bacchusfund of Machine Empire Baranioa, was actually created on Earth by one of the legendary super civilizations, roughly six million years ago.the one responsible for forcing Bacchusfund off the planet Earth is OH ranger's new ally Rikki (King Ranger).

Due to having the King Storage Crystal in his King energy bracelet,he can harness more energy than the other rangers' bracelets. And in addition to his Kingtector armour,armlets and anklets-King ranger is able to to channel that power into energy barriers or energy blasts.And when things get tough, he calls upon the mighty King Pyramider-Pyramider can transform into 3 different modes:Pyramid, carrier (which acts as a transport for the OH mecha) and robot mode (the 5 super power machines fit inside, while Red Puncher rides piggyback, it's arms form shoulder cannons); thus, creating the ultimate battle formation.

New mecha and new allies come to the aid of OH Ranger in thir continuing battle against the Machine Empire Baranoia.

First, there's the Blocker robos, each with thier own powers and special attacks.

The Blocker Robos can also perform a devastating attack called the Blocken Fire=which combines their chest beams into a singular blast of ultrasonics and high voltage bolts. When that's not enough, they join together to form the mighty OH Blocker. It uses the Twin Blocken Swords to perform the finshing technique-Twin Bolcken Crush.

Their 2 allies, as I mentioned earlier, are Tackle Boy and Gunmajin. Tackle Boy acts a sidekick to OH Blocker and can perform the Dynamite Tackle-in which he travels at mach speeds, then quickly tranforms to robot mode to crush his enemies.Then, there's the ancient warrior Gunmaijin, who fights with honor and courage. Imprisoned within the form of a tiny statue, the only way to unlock his power-is by placing a key into his forehead and reciting the magic words (?). Gunmajin posses the Majin Saber through which he focuses his power into the Four styles of Majin One Sword Fencing (Fire, Lightning, Wind and Blinding Light) that sends the forces of the machin Empire running in fear.
