This is a new series by the studio
that made Macross.It consists of 48 episodes. Macross and Macross 7 are the only TV series made regarding Macross. The other titles are either movies or OVAs.
The series is about Max and Miriya's children. Some of them form a music band called the fire bombers.
Max & Miriya are high military officials that are looking for Hikaru & Misa's SDF-2. Thast ship lost contact with Earth near the Milky Way. Max is in charge of the searching Mission.
Along the way, they unveil secrets about protoculture's past and figure out some facts about the fall of the SDF-1 .
They also find new enemies beside the Zentraedi. These enemies are the ones that wiped out the protoculture race. They are called the protodevils...
