Happy Birthday Intimidator
Today the 29th of April, the month of spring showers,
Just as the saying goes our tears will bring May flowers.
You should have been here to celebrate another year of
your life,
To hold your children and to lay a kiss up the cheek
of your wife.
To still be here and smile "that smile", to look through
those glasses.
To give the others a run for their money and terrify
them with your passes.
Is it wrong? Is it selfish to want you back on the track,
back on earth?
This day doesn't make it any easier, the 29th of April,
the day of your birth.
Maybe you are content where you are racing with the other
lost legends we lost too soon.
Leading the pack as you all soar past the stars and barely
miss the moon.
Showing the angels how you take those turns in God's
heavenly territory,
As they flag down the final lap with their white angelic
wings smiling at your glory.
I picture you playing a game of cards with the others
talking about your ole hunting ways,
Telling them to hang on while you come to us on the silent
3rd lap on Sundays.
This Sunday look down upon the track, know that we miss
you and that's for sure....
And we will be wishing you a very Happy Birthday Intimidator............
