Frequently Asked Questions

  • What will I get?
Toxic Tidbooks is a Microsoft Word document. It is approximately 40 pages long and it contains well over 50 links to information around the web. The ebook is alphabetically organized. Under each topic heading is at least one fact or quote and the source of the information is sited along with a link to the web site. There is a section at the end of the document where the major sources are described at greater length. The final section is a collection of links of interest.

  • What are your sources?
This ebook is a guide to reliable information around the web. I have relied on government sources such as the Environmental Protection Agency as well as various nonprofit organizations with some great credentials.

  • What topics are covered in your ebook?
You can find a list of the topic headings on the topics page of this site.

  • How will this help my business?
1.) Part of building your business online is referring people to sites where they can confirm the information that you have given them in your phone presentation or your email correspondence. People have different levels of understanding when it comes to issues of toxicity, and a mom will have different concerns than a senior. Having the information organized in such a way that you can answer their questions with relevant information, in a timely manner is very important.

2.) Your time is valuable. Why should you spend so much of your time searching for the best info, and then making sure to keep the links current when someone else can do it for you? The web is ever changing and information comes and goes. When you purchase Toxic Tibits: The ABC's of Household Toxins you will receive periodic updates for at least the next year. As I find better information, as I replace links gone bad with new ones, I will send you the updates for free. Send me your suggestions for how I can improve the ebook, and I will do my best to implement the changes!

3.) You are somebody's mentor! Help your team members make a good start in their business. Tell them about this site so they can get the information they need!

  • Why should I use online information instead of a book like The Safe Shopper's Bible?

You should use both. Of course this 40 page ebook is not as comprehensive as a 200 page book, but the benefit of using online information is that your prospects already have access to the web. If you are in Canada and you are talking to a customer in the United States, you can't expect them to have a copy of your favorite book on household toxins, but you can refer them to a web site that can answer their questions.

  • Why did you put this site together?

I am the mother of four young daughters and I want them to grow up to be healthy young women. Part of my responsibility as their mother is to make sure that I am not exposing them to harmful chemicals. In the course of researching these topics for myself, it has become my passion to educate others.

  • Can I use paypal?

If you would prefer to use an alternate method of payment for Toxic Tidbits, email me and let me know. I can send you my paypal information or make arangements for you to pay with a check.
