Franz Schiek born  in  Germany. He married Maria Hornung in Gosbach, Germany.  They had a child named: Franz born April 22, 1803 in Gosbach, Germany, and died March 30, 1870. Franz married his first wife, Maria Aberle.  They had 9 children. Maria died March 12, 1849 in Germany

Franz later married Maria Anna Lechmann on July 28, 1851 and they had 5 more children.  I have information on children born to both marriages.

Most of the children by the first marriage came to the USA approximately 1847.  Some of the sons were killed during the Civil War. Also, some of the daughters husbands were killed during the same War.  I have information on most of their descendants.
