b. 3-Jan-1835 in Oldenburg, Germany d. 9-May-1927 in Belleville, Illinois

Clement came to USA with his parents when he was approximately 12 years old. Clement married Louise Bush. He enlisted in the Civil War in 1862 with Co. D. of the 9th Regt. of Kentucky. After his wife Louise died he moved to Belleville, Il. to be with his grandson, Albert L. Stovey.

I am looking for any information on the Taphorns. I currently have information on his siblings and his descendants but have branchesthat need filling. If you have any information, I'd love to hear from you in the hope we could both share and make a family connection
