ACTIVITIES | |||||||||||||||||
THE DEPARTMENT HAS A TRUCK / EQUIPTMENT CHECK AND GENERAL MEETING EVERY SECOND WEEK ON MONDAY NIGHTS. TWO TRAINING SESSIONS ARE SCHEDULED FOR EACH MONTH THAT COVER TOPICS IN THE IFSTA ESSENTIALS BOOK ALMOST ALL MEMBERS ARE CERTIFIED IN STANDARD FIRST AID, CPR, AND OXYGEN ADMINISTRATION OTHER TRAINING IS DONE WITH THE PROVINCIAL FIRE COMMISSIONERS OFFICE INCLUDING NFPA 1001 LEVELS 1 & 2 CERTIFICATION |

THE DEPARTMENT ALSO HAS A PARADE & OPEN HOUSE DURING OCTOBER EACH YEAR FOR FIRE PREVENTION WEEK ALONG WITH SCHOOL VISITS | |||||||||||||||||
SOME OTHER ACTIVITIES INCLUDE FUNDRAISING FOR MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY WITH ANNUAL SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT, STORE CANISTERS, & DART TOURNAMENTS THE DEPARTMENT SPONSERS & COORDINATES THE ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARADE IN THE TOWN |
