-Part 12-

The sunlight came in rays through the parting of the thick curtains. The air conditioner whirred silently, cooling the air. Two figures lay on the bed in the centre which sheets were tangled with the blankets and their clothes. One was sleeping soundly, the one with blood red hair, while the other, the beautiful one, lay on his side, his eyes open, staring at the redhead.

Toshiya laid silently, he was still naked underneath the blanket. He looked at Die. Their encounter the night before came back to him. His body, in Die’s arms, Die’s lips all over him, tasting him, and hands caressing him in gentle yet erotic touches…He closed his eyes for a long while, replaying the drunken night of ecstasy. Even now, his body was stamped with marks of lovebites.

He curled up into a tight coil, hugging his knees to his chest. His fingers could feel the healing scars on his arms and he touched himself where the scars adorned the flesh. He couldn’t help thinking about Kaoru. A whimper escaped him as memories of a sharp blade cross over his skin, cutting his flesh, cutting deeply, bringing blood.

But last night, it had been gentle…almost like making love. Die’s gentle caresses…his assuring words…He remembered the feeling of Die inside him. He wanted to weep. It had felt so good…Die, his friend, Die, his lover, Die…

When he opened his eyes again, Toshiya could feel the dampness in his eyes. What had I done? He covered his face with his palms then tried to bury himself under the blanket, trying to sink deeper into the mattress. But there was nowhere for him to hide, for everything came back in his mind.

Die stirred beside him and he quickly wiped off the tears from the corners of his eyes. Die’s arms came to envelope him. The redhead pulled the bassist to his chest. "Mm…Totchi…" Toshiya blinked when the older man kissed him on the forehead sweetly. "Toshiya-chan…"

Toshiya smiled and buried his face into Die’s chest. "Die?"

"Hm?" Die was stroking the strands of blue and black hair, holding Toshiya tightly.

Toshiya placed his hands on Die’s chest, feeling it move with each breath the man took. It was warm and Toshiya felt safe and loved in Die’s arms. He closed his eyes and slid his arms around Die’s neck, pulling himself up to kiss Die’s lips. Die kissed him back fervently.

Then Toshiya pulled away.

"Yes, Die."

"Yes what?"

The bassist looked up into his eyes. "Yes, I will give you the chance…to…be with me and take care of me ne…" Toshiya ducked to hide the blush rising on his cheeks.

Die held his breath for a long time, looking at Toshiya’s face. Then he reached for his chin and lifted his face up to see those eyes, those beautiful eyes. "Toshiya…" In a burst of happiness, he hugged the younger man fiercely. "Toshiya, Toshiya, Toshiya!!!"

Toshiya gasped. "Die!! You’re…suffocating me!"

Die gave him a firm kiss on the lips and grinned madly at him.

Pouting through a smile, Toshiya playfully hit his chest.

He sneezed as the elevator doors slid open. Rubbing his nose gingerly, he walked into the elevator. His head felt a little groggy from the drinks and he probably caught a cold from sleeping in the hotel park the whole night. Shinya frowned.

It’s all that baka’s fault!

If he hadn’t made fun of me, I wouldn’t have run out! I wouldn’t have sat there and cried till I fell asleep! Baka!

He pressed for the eight floor and the doors closed with a soft ‘ding’ that sounded quite comforting. The drummer leaned back against the mirrored panel of the elevator. His eyes flicked up to the reflection of himself on the opposite wall. His brown hair hung down carelessly almost touching his shoulders, his fringe brushed against his brows.

"Baka," he mouthed to his reflection.

I’m so stupid. I shouldn’t have done that to Die…it’s not his fault he doesn’t like me…Why must he like me anyway?

No reason.

He probably won’t talk to me now…

…well, that’s fine with me! I don’t want to talk to him either.

…don’t want to talk to him…

Shinya chewed on his lip gently.

Suddenly his cell phone rang, shocking him out of his thoughts. He fished the compact phone out of his pocket.

"Moshi-moshi?"

A giggle escaped Toshiya’s lips as Die ran the soft towel up his thigh to ‘dry’ him. "Die!" He shoved the older man away, snatching the towel from him to cover his body.

"Oh, you are -so- shy," Die said, rolling his eyes then bursting out into laughter.

Then as Toshiya moved out of the bathroom, Die hooked an arm around his waist and kissed him on the lips. After it, the younger man shyly lifted his eyes up. "Die?"

"Yes?"

"Thank you…"

"Who is that?" Shinya frowned when there was nothing but silence on the other end. When he was about to scold that person, suddenly a female voice uttered. "Sorry."

Then the line when dead.

"Nani?" Shinya said absently as the elevator reached eight floor.

He stepped out onto the coffee-brown-carpeted corridor. He yawned; he needed to get more sleep before they headed back to Tokyo. He groped his pocket for his key-card when he reached the door of his hotel room. When he touched the edge of it, he wanted to pull it out but his cell-phone, his tissue packet and everything came out too and fell onto the floor.

Grumbling, he bent down to pick them up.

The door next to his room opened.

Shinya straightened himself but it only took his eyes to see what was before him before he dropped his stuff again. His mouth opened a little in question.

Die and Toshiya.

Hugging and kissing.

Die noticed him and he pulled away from the bassist. "Shinya?" Toshiya looked at him too but Shinya didn’t care about Toshiya. Hatred poured out from the glare he gave Die. No one spoke.

Then schooling his face back into a mask of indifference, Shinya picked up his stuff hurriedly and entered his own room, slamming the door behind him.
