~a Duele Quartz fic~

Pacing around the dressing room, Miyabi was more nervous than usual. He was

supposed to be finishing sound check with the rest of the band but instead..

. "Okay. tonight is the night!!" He commanded himself. "No backing out!

You're going to do this! YOU ARE GOING TO DO THIS!! Or you can just go hang

yourself!!" Miyabi pointed to his own reflection in the mirror. "Argh~ I

messed up my makeup again!" He pouted, then he took out his eyeliner and

adjusted his face. After he was done, he gave himself a reassuring &

encouraging smile before joining the band to finish sound check like he was

supposed to.

The show started and the crowd went crazy. For a relatively young band,

Duele Quartz was sure doing very well. Sakito was really glad that Miyabi

had agreed to join the band over a year ago. Duele wouldn't be enjoying

this success without his charisma and song-writing skills. Miyabi noticed

Sakito looking at him fondly during his guitar solo and his heart raced. He

blushed and had to distract his own mind to prevent himself from fainting or

doing something equally embarrassing in front of the fans and his band,

especially Sakito.

During the chorus of the last encore song, Sakito walked towards Miyabi,

draped his arms around the guitarist and flashed the sweetest smile.

Miyabi's heart melted and he almost forgot that he was still performing.

The vocalist then put the mic in front of him and tried to get him to sing

along the chorus with the fans. But Miyabi was too love-struck to sing.

already he had to use energy ounce of his concentration just to play that

few simple chords.

Just when Miyabi thought that he couldn't take it anymore and was going to

do something rash, Sakito turned around and strutted towards the Kikasa.

Relief mixed with disappointment filled Miyabi. "So that smile was not only

for me.."

The show was another success. And what's a better way to celebrate than a

night of drinking and karaoking (even though we know that the members of

Duele Quartz are underage ^^;;). After the showers, the guys changed into

their street clothes and headed towards the kyosakeya for the celebration.

Miyabi kept looking at Sakito hoping that the vocalist would be left alone

by the others for a moment. but it seemed that tonight everyone in the world

wanted to talk to the guy.

Being the "stars" of the celebration, members of Duele Quartz and to run

around the room to kanpai, give their thank you speeches and get really

drunk from all the drink challenges. Miyabi have not had a chance to even

say a word to Sakito all night and he was not too happy about it. As the

night went on, he got more drunk and frustrated.

Next stop, KARAOKE!! Sakito's favorite although Miyabi always wondered how

could a person who just sung for almost 2 hours would be able to enjoy

karaoke for another 3/4 hours. By this time, half of the celebrators were

either drop dead tired or drop-dead drunk. The other half were on their way

to either of the two states. Even though there were over 30 people there,

only a handful decided to grace the crowd with their "lovely" drunk singing

(THANKFULLY, thought Miyabi). Which made Sakito very happy as this meant

that he would get to sing more.

2 hours and 12 Luna Sea songs later, Sakito was the only one left singing

(or he just hawked the mic and growled at anyone who dared to come near

it^^;;). Partiers were sprawled out all over the room. Some sleeping

already, some "singing" along, others just chatting about nonsense. Miyabi

looked lovingly at the singing man that his heart had belonged to for over a

year now. The sole reason why he had agreed to join Duele Quartz that hot

summer night.

Miyabi thought that "Tonight" was the last song Sakito was going to sing.

He was wrong. there were another 5 more. Miyabi sighed and was truly amazed

by Sakito's passion for singing. Waiting not so patiently, he sat through

another 20 minutes of Sakito's singing, not that he minded anyway. He just

wished that Sakito would stop singing so that he could do what he had

planned the previous night before the gig. He was getting really nervous

and afraid that if he did not say what he wanted to tell Sakito, he would

back out again like the previous trials.

Finally the last song (Miyabi hoped). He looked up to the screen and saw

the song title, "Desire". Memories of those long nights spent with Sakito

watching REW on repeat mode flooded Miyabi's mind. Waha!! He had an idea..

Sakito bounced around a little and saw Miyabi grinning at him. He gave his

band mate a sexy wink and started singing. He then cutely danced over to

Miyabi and did a brief Ryuichi impersonation. Miyabi laughed at the monkey

face Sakito made but his laughter was short-lived. He immediately stiffened

up when Sakito decided to just sit down in his lap. He blushed and worries

showed through his eyes. He was afraid that his certain brainless *organ*

would let Sakito know of the puppy crush that he had. Well, he wanted

Sakito to know but not in the crude and tasteless way.

Luckily, Sakito stood up before anything happened. He remained close to

Miyabi and draped his right arm across the guitarist's shoulders. Miyabi

looked up at the happy and slightly tipsy vocalist and smiled. The chorus

of the song was almost over.. "It is now or never.." He reminded himself.

Just as Sakito finished the last word of the chorus, Miyabi stood up and

tried to smile his most seductive smile. Then almost immediately he leaned

into Sakito and kissed the soft lips that he had longed for every since

their first meeting.

Consider the state that everyone was in, it was no surprise that no one

noticed the kiss (LUCKILY, Miyabi thought). He then quickly backed off,

hoping that if anything, Sakito would only take this as a joke. that he was

just playing, like in the video. Pain and regret started to fill Miyabi's

heart but. Before he could turn away, Sakito placed his own arms around

Miyabi's neck and yanked him in roughly for a deeper kiss. Miyabi was

shocked and before his mind registered what was _really_ going on, Sakito

bit his lips and slip his passionate tongue into the mouth of the still

shocked man.
