"This is insane…insane…" Die murmured while running towards the entrance. He rushed as fast as he could towards the ICU area but something made him change his mind. The red head growled but before he could take a step heading towards the lift, somebody called out his name.

"Diekun!!!" the red head quickly turned back, "Doctor!" he exclaimed. The doc ran to him and pulled his arm hard, "Come on…let’s go to his room" Die joined his eyebrows, heart beating madly in his chest. They waited for the lift and Die was wondering weren’t they supposed to be…panic? Why didn’t he say anything about Shinya?!!!

The lift came down and they entered and nobody else was there. Die pressed the button (6) furiously and stared at the doc, "So what happened?"

"The nurse did a night check, and she heard weird noises coming form his room. Then she entered fearfully, and realized it came from one of the dark corner! The bed was empty" Die’s eyes bulged, "Nani? He’s gone?!!!" he shouted out.

"No!!! she quickly turned the lights on, and he was found in one of the corner, crying"

Die felt his heart stopped beating.

"She was in relief to see it was only the patient. But when she touched him…" the doc shook his head, "He shouted, shriek and screamed hysterically! Uncontrollably! She tried to hold him but he pushed her, and…injured her" the older man looked at Die weirdly, something wrong in his eyes. Die bit his lip.

"We had to call the security!"

Came a ding and Die looked up to see the (6) flashed brightly. Both men got out and Die rushed to Shinya’s room.

"Die-kun! Wait! Maybe he woke up, in the middle of the night…finding himself alone!" he grabbed Die’s arm and Die looked at him, "Woke up? What do you mean?"

"Shinyakun found himself alone in the dark! And he was scared!" the doc explained. Die chewed his lip, "Woke up…while I wasn’t there?" he whispered, there was sadness in his tone…

"Die-kun…"

Die already opened the door.

"I gave him an injection"

Die nodded and closed the door.

He approached the young man who lay weakly on the bed. He saw the patient breathing rhythmically and sighed. Die stood frozen beside the bed for a while before carefully touched Shinya’s hand. The drummer was sleeping peacefully. Die could see the serene expression from the beautiful face. But he could also see the trace of tears on those smooth cheeks.

Shinya…

The red head moved his other arm and gently wiped the wet cheeks. He took a good look at the younger man. So peaceful…so innocent…

Die fell on the chair helplessly, and that was when somebody entered the room. The red head thought it was the doc, and he was right. Yoshida-san walked slowly and touched his shoulders,

"Die-kun…"

Die made no reply.

"Wash yourself! You stink!"

Die rolled his eyes.

"As a doctor, I suggest you don’t live life this way" he stopped and knew that Die didn’t care about what he had just said at all! So he continued staring at Shinya, "This man needs you!" he pressed Die’s shoulders.

"So don’t do anything that put yourself in danger!"

Die was sucked into his own thoughts. The doc was right. Shinya needed him…but…the doc sighed, patted his shoulders then went away. The door closed silently and Die was left in darkness with Shinya. There was one slight single ray of light from the streetlight outside, and it was enough for him. Die could see his lover’s face, clearly.

Shinya!!!

Die gasped and snapped his head up. He winced instantly coz the sunray hurt his eyes. The red head looked around. He was on the chair, with his arms on the side of the bed, he must had fallen asleep! And what time was it now?

Die rubbed his sleepy eyes and glanced at his watch.

Almost eight.

He yawned and rubbed his face. The doc was right. He stunk! And he was too tired to wash up last night! Oh no…don’t let Shinya smells too! So Die quickly got up and-

Mnnn…

Die’s eyes widened. He heard a moan, didn’t he? Was it…he turned his head slowly, and to his surprise, Shinya’s head moved a little. The red head didn’t know what to do, except standing there frozen beside the bed. Recollecting himself quickly, Die leaned down.

"Shinya…? Shinya!’ he whispered. There was no respond. So Die shook Shinya’s arm carefully, patted his cheek gently and looked at him with hopes in his eyes. But Shinya didn’t open his eyes, or even moved anymore. Something in him was crushed, and Die fell back, again, on the chair.

His shoulders shook, his body racked and few seconds later sobs could be heard. It hurt…it felt so painful. It was like collecting all the hopes and dreams…but then the hopes and dreams crushed breaking into pieces…and Die felt he had lost the faith…the feeling in his heart saying that Shinya would eventually wake up, and love him…like the olden days…it was gone…

Shinya…

"Please…open your eyes…I want to see you…I want to look into your beautiful eyes…so you can see the love in me, and- and-" he couldn’t control himself and shamelessly, Die began to cry. His head lay on the bedside and tears wet his arms. But he didn’t care…

Yoshiki straightened his back, feeling himself getting all tensed up and his fingers clenched in fist. His hold of the phone tightened and the man gulped.

"Hai, domo Yoshida-san" he hung up.

Yeah! Wait till the next weird action! Then we catch him!!!

"THIS!!! Is the next weird action!" he held the phone up and furiously dialed a number, ‘THIS! Is the time to make a move!!!" he waited and somebody answered, "Moshi-moshi, Yoshiki-san?"

"Kaoru! the time has come!"

The other side fell silent.

The door was opened and the man walked in, "Wow! What do I have here? Two serious looking men, waiting for me in the office! I was kind of wondering who were the nurse talking about!" the doc walked and sat on his chair behind the desk.

"Hai, Yoshiki-san…what can I do?" he smiled and turned to the other one, "Kaoru-kun, why did you want to see me? I think it must be last night’s incident eh? He sounded calm, Kaoru thought. Of course! He was a doctor! Even when the patients were dying, he had to act as calm as possible!!!

Yoshiki looked at Kaoru, "Well, it –is- about Shinya and what happened last night!"

The doctor nodded.

"I sense something weird!" Kaoru suddenly spoke, coldly and Yoshiki smiled nodding in agreement. "Hai, same here!" both men looked at the doctor, "Could you please tell us what exactly happened last night?"

The doc sighed and leaned back, "The nurse found him crying in the dark, but when she tried to help, he pushed her away, and he became so violent that we had to call the security!" the doc explained briefly. Yoshiki tilted his head up and nodded, the mocking expression was surely clear to be seen. Kaoru gave a pout.

"So…" the pink head spoke leaning forward, "Shinya woke up at night, suddenly…and started to cry? Where was Die?"

"Diekun was out. He needed a rest, and he accept my offer"

Yoshiki nodded again, "I see…so Shinya cried coz Die wasn’t there?" his eyes narrowed at the doctor.

"Iie. He cried because he woke up, finding himself in the dark. He could still be in trauma, you should know that kind of thing. He’s still very scared" the doctor tried.

"Yeah, we can take that. But Shinya cried because he couldn’t find Die beside him…" Kaoru looked at the producer, "No! he didn’t know Diekun was waiting for him the whole time and-"

"He couldn’t find Die sitting beside him, or sleeping on the chair, as usual, like those nights before! That’s why he cried!" Kaoru’s voice rose. His face looked hard and angry. Yoshiki glared at the doctor, "That was why he was so scared, because Die wasn’t there! And he was scared to be alone in the dark!"

"He was so used to Die holding his hand and feeling Die’s hair touching his arm! Last night, no one was there!" Kaoru was so close to yell at the older man.

The doctor shook his head, "No! he didn’t know Diekun was-"

"Yes! He did know that!!! And I’m sure-we’re sure you knew that too!!! He probably told you that! Before you went away to call Die!" Yoshiki insisted.

"No! I don’t know what you two are talking about!!!" Yoshida-san held his hands up. ‘I don’t understand at all! And please keep your tone low or else I have to ask both of you to leave the room!!!"

It fell silent. Yoshiki stared at the doctor with disappointment in his eyes and Kaoru did the same, with eyes showing anger.

"Let us see him, and talk to him!" Yoshiki suddenly spoke. The doc shook his head.

"Doctor! Do you know how worried we are? Do you know you shouldn’t be doing this?! You said Die needed a rest! How can he take a rest if you’re acting this way?! Telling a lie?! We are all so worried!! And we can’t do anything about it!"

The doctor looked away.

"Please, Yoshida-san…let us talk to him!" Kaoru said in pleading tone.

"Gentlemen…I can’t do that"

"Why?!!!"

"Because…it was his right!"

Kaoru and Yoshiki exchanged looks

"What do you mean?"

"It wasn’t my idea to keep him in that room! His parents told me to do so!!!"

Yoshiki gasped and Kaoru’s jaw dropped down.

"His parents?! Why? I thought they didn’t want everyone to get all worried!" Yoshiki hit the desk and Kaoru jumped. He touched the older man’s arm and Yoshiki calm down. The doc took a deep breath.

"It was all Shinya-kun’s request!"

Yoshiki massaged the area between his eyes and Kaoru sighed. They knew it! Stupid Shinya! Why did he do that?!!!

"He did it…" the doc began, as if reading Kaoru’s mind. "Because he is ashamed to see Die, and you all! He doesn’t even want to look at his own reflection! In his case, I have to say it’s normal! He doesn’t want Die-kun to see him, to look at him with all the cuts and wounds on his body!"

The doctor saw both men’s tired face.

"I’m sorry. Really sorry…but I have to do it!"

Yoshiki nodded, "Yeah, I understand. But, when did he actually talk to you?"

"ICU area, when he was suspected to have some inner bleeding"

"Suspected?" Kaoru spat out. His eyes looked at the doc in disbelief, "What do you mean by that?!" the doc took his time, "Well, we thought he was injured really badly, causing some inner bleeding! But something wrong with his throat, it was too dry… and it wasn’t some big problem for us to handle it!" the doc explained.

"We talked while taking care of him! He told me not to tell anyone that he’s fine" the doc finally let out almost everything, ‘he told me that, he was so scared to meet you all, especially Die! And he needed time to think about what to do next!"

Kaoru shook his head slowly.

"Hai! That’s what he said! And I think that’s really sensible! Besides, I have to listen to him! In his condition, he’s not really stable and he needs support!" the doctor rested his arms on the desk.

"Can we see him?"

The doctor fell silent and for few seconds he looked really thoughtful.

"Shinya-kun told me, not even Yoshiki-san could be allowed to!" he looked at the producer, "I’m sorry…" he shook his head sadly. Yoshiki gasped and laughed humourlessly, "Really?! Isn’t he such a good boy?!!!"

Kaoru touched his arm, "Yoshiki-san…"

The producer nodded.

"Wait!!!! What are you going to do?!!!" the doctor suddenly yelled! To his shock, both men rushed out the office and suspiciously looked like they were heading towards the lift to Shinya’s room!

"K’so!!!" he swore like a doctor wasn’t supposed to, and quickly ran out his office too. Those two men had disappeared. He glanced at the phone, with the security number in his mind. But…there shouldn’t be any chaos about this…two stubborn men were definitely better than a bunch of security guards and…

The doctor swore again and headed towards the lift.
