No explanation! Such a cheap person… Kaoru sat on the couch; he touched his pocket, searching for cigarettes. He sighed, as he couldn’t find one. Why do I need an explanation anyway? I’m not his lover; what we have is flirting. Why should I get mad at him? It’s his personal life whoever he sleeps with!
I should’ve known. I should’ve prepared for this. Loving Toshiya is…stupid! Why do I fall for him when it’s so clear that he doesn’t know what love is?! Toshiya only flirts…he only-
"Kaoru! Do you want breakfast?" Suddenly Kyo just popped out in front of Kaoru giving him a fright. Kyo smiled widely to Kaoru, thinking, if I can mess up Die’s kitchen! I lost from that drinking competition last night.
Kaoru calmed himself down, no point getting mad at Kyo; the vocalist knew nothing.
"No!" Kaoru answered coldly. Kyo frowned, "why?" he screamed. The vocalist looked at Kaoru’s face closely. "Die has lots of food! He’s quite good in choosing what to eat. Look how fat…, I mean how fit he is now!" Kyo exaggerated, he shook his head and waved his hands in the air. Kaoru looked up to Kyo. Thinking of getting his attention, Kyo continued "Ah! He has this thing called-"
Die…Die…Die…why is everyone so into him in sudden? Kaoru’s eyes slit in anger. Fit? Is that why he chooses Die?!
"See how nice his body is?! He’s been working out you know?!…so-"
Working out? When was the last time I did that?
"And you have to eat Kaoru! Being too thin is not good! You don’t want to be like Shinya right? He ‘s so-"
Suddenly Kaoru straightened his back, Shinya! That’s why I’m here!
"Kaoru! So what do you want to eat?" Kyo asked in girlie voice; Kaoru grabbed his tiny arm, "Shut up Kyo! I’m sick of Die and Toshiya! You’re the one who should eat more not me! Leave me alone!" he snapped. Kyo was shocked, Kaoru looked so scary now. He wanted to play but the guitarist looked so serious. Did I mention Toshiya?…Hm…
The door opened, Die walked out wearing only faded jeans and holding a towel in his hand. His hair was still wet and the water dripped down to his naked chest. He saw what Kaoru did to Kyo and the vocalist looked pale now. Why is he so mad?
"Sit down Die! I need to talk to you." He let Kyo’s arm off, "Kyo, go wherever you want but don’t you dare to overheard us!"
Die froze, Kyo’s eyes widened, uh-oh!
Kyo ran away to Die’s room, thinking that he should ask Toshiya what happened. He saw Kaoru walking into the room, he must’ve interrupted Die and Toshiya. I bet Kaoru likes Toshiya! He quickly opened the door, "Toshiya…", he stopped as he saw Toshiya(fully dressed) sitting in the corner of the room. He was crying.
"Toshiya, what happened?" Kyo quickly ran to him; he tried to pull Toshiya’s arm but he couldn’t. Toshiya was bigger than him. Instead, Kyo sat beside him. "Die hurt you?" Kyo touched Toshiya’s head. He patted it gently.
"So…what’s up? This isn’t that early in the morning but you never came this time. Kaoru?" Die sat down; he tried to sound cool (as usual). He put the towel around his neck. Soon he realized Kaoru’s glare. Is it Toshiya?! Maybe…
Meanwhile, Toshiya had stopped crying. Kyo kneeled on the floor, looking really sad too.
"Toshiya…Die hurt you?" He could easily see Die hurting Toshiya.
"No…"
Kyo exhaled in relief.
"I regret this…sleeping with him…"
*blip-blip* Kyo blinked, he stared at Toshiya. Suddenly he laughed, so hard that he lay on the floor holding his stomach. Toshiya got mad, he kicked Kyo’s legs.
"Toshiya…what the heck makes you think that…?!" Kyo managed to talk, he gave Toshiya a wicked grin. Toshiya saw it, then he started to sob again remembering Kaoru’s expression when he saw Die with him…on the bed! Kaoru looked so shock! Suddenly he remembered Kaoru’s hug in the pub. It was so peaceful and warm…but now Kaoru looked so cold! It’s my entire fault!
"Hey! By the way Kaoru looks so scary! Do you know he’s getting mad at Die?!" Kyo continued. Toshiya widened his eyes, he felt hope slipped into his heart.
"Really?" Toshiya wiped his tears off his cheeks. Kyo nodded violently. He told Toshiya how Kaoru pulled his arm and how serious he was. "I think we should know what they’re talking about!" Toshiya made up his mind. He crept towards the door slowly, "Come here, Kyo" he whispered.
"Toshiya, curiosity kills the cat!" Kyo whispered back, he giggled wickedly, not that I mind
"What did you do last night?" Kaoru hissed. He glared at Die. Die looked down…what did I do last night? Toshiya?
"Tell me something Die! Did you see Shinya anywhere last night?"
Die’s heart stopped. He looked at Kaoru quickly and found the pink haired guy’s anger. Shinya?
"Remember I saw you walking out the toilet? I found Shinya…"getting hurt Kaoru wanted to say, but he promised Shinya not to tell anyone. "I found Shinya unconscious on the floor" Kaoru studied Die’s face. The younger man’s expression changed. He looked pale, scared and confused.
Toshiya and Kyo peeped from the door. They couldn’t hear what Kaoru was saying but they could see Die’s expression changed.
"Die!" Kaoru yelled in sudden. Toshiya gasped, Kyo jumped, Die shut his eyes.
"You remember it right? I asked you about Shinya…you didn’t answer me!" Kaoru’s voice was filled with anger. The image of Shinya filled his mind. He saw how shock Shinya was, how painful it was for the drummer…on his birthday…but then somebody else slipped into his mind…Toshiya. The whole night, after he left the pub…they must’ve been all over each other!
"I didn’t know…" Die said softly.
Kaoru moved forward. He held Die’s towel, pulling Die’s face close to his. "Tell me the truth!" Kaoru hissed. "Tell me what did you do to Shinya?!" Kaoru finally yelled. You fuck him in the toilet and came back here fuck Toshiya?!
Shinya? Toshiya looked at Kyo, the vocalist looked back.
Die pushed Kaoru aside, pulling the towel and dumped it on the floor. He had to tell the truth!
"Fine!"
Die was silent for a while. Toshiya waited; Kyo too. So did Kaoru.
"He looked as if he was gonna puke. I saw it, so I took him to the toilet" Die looked at Kaoru. "I was a bit high, you see, so I couldn’t really know what exactly happened. I waited until he finished…and I quickly went out of the toilet. Guess I saw you that time but I couldn’t remember!" Die explained effortlessly to Kaoru.
Kaoru couldn’t take it anymore, he pushed Die backwards and punched that strong jaw. Toshiya screamed softly, he quickly covered his mouth. Kyo widened his eyes, "Wow…I never knew Kaoru care for Shinya so much!"
This pained Toshiya.
"You’re lying Die! Don’t fool me!" Kaoru stood up, Die sat on the floor, touching his bleeding lips. Die gave Kaoru a stare; he wanted to hit Kaoru back, in my fucking own apartment! But he dismissed the thought away from his mind. Right now, telling Kaoru what happened would be the best thing to do. Die didn’t want to make any trouble. Toshiya and Kyo are here too!
"What did I do to Shinya?" Die got up, he sat on the couch again. Touching his lips, he glared at Kaoru. The kind of glare that made Shinya looked down and bowed every time he saw it. But Kaoru wasn’t Shinya. He wanted to know what happened!
"Well, honestly Kaoru, if you count a kiss as ‘something’; then I did do something to Shinya" Die looked at Kaoru sharply; his tone was insulting Kaoru.
"A…kiss?" Kaoru stuttered.
"A kiss?" Toshiya whispered; Kyo nodded but suddenly he sat on the floor trying to hide a smile.
Die pouted, but as Kaoru threw a killing glare, he continued.
"OK! I admit it’s not a quick light kiss. It was a…rough, long passionate kiss"
Kaoru turned away, thinking, is he telling the truth?! How can I trust him? Kaoru closed his eyes, he was really confused. Then he remembered the wet floor, the stickiness…, Shinya…
Suddenly Die talked to defend himself. "You see, I always tease him. Same as you…I didn’t get him a present! So I thought a kiss would do! He didn’t reject it you know…he didn’t push me away, he didn’t slap me or anything he usually does! You know Shinya right?"
Oh my God…Shinya…
"Besides…it was only a kiss right? Does Shinya have to make it so big?! Look at you, Kaoru. Why are you so mad?!" Die leaned forward. He touched Kaoru’s arm but Kaoru roughly pushed his hand away. He didn’t want to look at Die, he couldn’t! Only a kiss? A long passionate kiss was only a present? How about Toshiya? One nightstand, only something you could play and then you ignore and throw away…
Die exhaled, "Gomen…" he touched his lips again, it was quite painful.
Kaoru stared at the table in front of them. "What happened after that?" I wont’ trust him easily!
Die looked down to his feet. "I’m sorry…I should’ve waited for him…but I didn’t"
"Why?"
"I stood up after the kiss, he was sitting on the floor…the door was opened, and somebody came in" Die looked at Kaoru, Kaoru turned straight away to face Die. He joined his eyebrows. Kaoru’s heartbeat fastened. "Who?"
"…A woman" Die answered softly.
Kaoru stared at Die blankly, "I can’t believe this Die! You still make up crap…" he shook his head. "You can’t find a woman in Gent’s toilet! Why can’t you tell the truth that…" Kaoru couldn’t control himself anymore, suddenly,
"You CAN, Kaoru" Die glared at him. "Easily, to be honest" Die looked at Kaoru in disbelief, "didn’t you ever notice?" he asked. Kaoru blushed, "Well, I’m not you!" he snapped.
Kyo nodded in the bedroom, "Yep! Easily!" he whispered. Toshiya blushed, agreeing with Die’s statement. Kaoru is such a nice guy…so good…but he only thinks of Shinya…he never likes me and now, he must’ve hated me!
"Bluntly, Kaoru, I approached her and we made out in one of the cubicles. We didn’t do anything else though, if you want to know…" Die pouted again and stole a look at Kaoru. "I remembered hearing noises, people coming into the bathroom… when I came out I thought Shinya had gone. That was when I saw you…I guess…I can’t really remember!" Kaoru exhaled, if it wasn’t Die…then who? Honestly I never noticed any woman…but how if it was true?! How if…it wasn’t Die but some stranger who saw Shinya unconsciously sitting on the floor and decided to…
Kaoru could think no more, the image of Shinya and Toshiya kept swimming in his mind. I can’t stay here for long…"I’m going then" Kaoru got up without even saying goodbye or turning back. He walked out of the apartment and closed the door behind him.
As soon as Kaoru closed the door, Kyo ran out from the room towards Die, yelling, "What the heck did you do this time?! Do you know how mad he is?! Die!" Die closed his eyes, he lay down on the couch, "Shut up Kyo, good thing is he didn’t mention anything about practice. I need to sleep now…Shinya only exaggerates!"
Kyo sat beside him, "What happened to Shinya, Die?" he asked curiously. Die didn’t see Kyo’s smile.
"I don’t know…"
