Resolution

Kaoru walked quickly towards his apartment. He unlocked the door and went in quietly, scared to wake Shinya up. He headed to his bedroom; holding the flowers behind his back, trying to hide the bouquet. A surprise!

However, as he walked across the living room, he noticed the mess on the floor. Nani? Suddenly Kaoru felt bad feeling crept into him. His heartbeat went faster and faster. He quickly ran towards the mess. What he had in mind was true. Kaoru saw pieces of the broken glass lying on the floor. The vase? He thought, but then he realized it was the mirror. He bent down and saw …stain? They were red, bloodstain?! Kaoru could feel his heartbeat stopped. He stood there for a while; he tried to move but he couldn’t. He wanted look for Shinya, he wanted to rush to his room, but he was too scared. How if…how if…?

Kaoru ran to his bedroom…

I shouldn’t have left him alone! I shouldn’t have! I shouldn’t have…

His left hand opened the door fast, his right hand holding bouquet. The room was dark, and the curtain was closed. Kaoru found Shinya sitting on the bed, alone, stiff. Shinya didn’t turn around, didn’t even look at him. He sat there on the bed, his hands were on his lap. Kaoru exhaled in relief, slowly he walked towards the drummer, still hiding the bouquet on his back.

"Shinya…" Kaoru was embarrassed at himself for not trusting Shinya.

"Gomen…I broke your mirror. I’ll pay for it" Shinya said coldly. Suddenly he got up from the bed, walking out from the bedroom. Kaoru followed him carefully, what is he doing? Shinya turned back to look at him, he smiled sadly, "Arigato…for letting me to be here. Bye" Shinya walked away, but Kaoru quickly grabbed his arm. Shinya gasped in surprise.

"I’ll pay for your mirror" Shinya said coldly again.

"Forget about it"

Shinya was sitting on the couch in the living room. Kaoru stood beside him, the bouquet was still in his hand behind him. Kaoru saw Shinya’s hands, they were wounded. Quickly, he bent down kneeling on the floor.

"What happened?!" he touched Shinya’s hands carefully.

Shinya turned to look at Kaoru, "I don’t want to know who it is…I’ll try to forget about last night…and continue my life! I hope next year this kind of thing won’t happen again"

Kaoru was amazed. Shinya was strong, he was tough despite all those tears. He touched Shinya’s cheek gently, smiling to the drummer.

"Good boy, Shin-chan…" Kaoru was so proud of him. That kind of bad experience shouldn’t be remembered. Kaoru was into his thought that he didn’t notice Shinya’s expression.

Pretty Shin-chan…say my name….

Shinya looked at Kaoru deep in his eyes, his lips parted, he looked confused. Kaoru gently stroke Shinya’s cheek.

Good boy…

"Shinya? Are you alright?" Kaoru noticed it finally. Shinya’s lips trembled.

"Was it you?" Shinya managed to speak but his voice was so soft. Shinya moved his hands, touching Kaoru’s. "Was it you?! If it was…" Shinya’s voice grew louder. "I don’t have to be so hurt! At least I know it’s you! I know you! I just don’t want it to be some stranger! Kaoru…was it?" Shinya couldn’t stop talking. He wanted to know now; Shinya bit his lower lip, nervously looked at Kaoru.

If he knows the truth…he’ll be crushed!

Kaoru looked down to the floor, suddenly Toshiya came to his mind. But Toshiya…Toshiya…

Kaoru took a deep breath, trying to make up his mind. He looked at Shinya, I could see hope in your eyes, Shinya…but …

"Was it you?" Shinya asked again, this time he sounded unsure and scared.

Kaoru smiled at him, "I’m sorry…I was just trying to…" he couldn’t find the right words so he took out the bouquet, presented it to Shinya. "Happy birthday, …Shin-chan"

Shinya moved forward in sudden throwing his arms around Kaoru’s neck. He sobbed faintly, thank you…thank you…Kaoru! "You should’ve told me earlier! You should have!" Shinya grabbed Kaoru’s shirt, he shook Kaoru’s body slowly. "How could you be so mean?! How could you?!" he said among his tears but he was happy deep down inside. That explains why the person knows my name! It’s Kaoru!

Shinya looked at Kaoru, but the guitarist looked sad. Shinya could see guilt and uneasiness in those small eyes.

"A birthday present I suppose…" Kaoru laughed softly. The bouquet was almost crushed; Shinya noticed it finally. He took the flowers from Kaoru’s hands.

"For me?" he asked gently.

"Hai…"

Shinya held the bouquet close to him, he smiled to himself. At last…he let out those tears he had been holding, right in front of Kaoru. No quiet sobs and few tears but Shinya really cried.

"This is probably the best present I’ve ever received" he said, ironic isn’t it?

Kaoru pulled Shinya into his arms, closing his eyes he held the younger man tightly. He had many things in his mind right now. He had many wishes actually. He wished Shinya would forgive him if he found out the truth someday…he wished everything would get back to normal…but first of all, he wished he could forget Toshiya…when he knew he couldn’t.

Toshiya was sitting on the ground. Many people walked around, the road was really busy. The sun was shining brightly but it was so cold. Toshiya shivered, some people looked at him weirdly. He couldn’t care at all, suddenly, "Hey! catch!" Toshiya quickly got up, trying to catch the ice cream Kyo had thrown.

"Wa…." Toshiya screamed in pain.

Kyo walked and sat next to him. "Nani?"

"It’s so painful! So cold! My fingers! Look! They’re hurt!" Toshiya frowned. He showed Kyo his red fingers. It’s so cold…and painful! My heart was hurt too… He could still remember exactly what Kaoru’s expression was like when he entered Die’s bedroom. Those small eyes looked disappointed; Kaoru was so hurt! But he doesn’t care about me! He was there for Shinya!

Kyo whistled softly, "Toshiya…so you slept with Die eh?" Toshiya glared at him. Kyo ignored it, but then he smiled,

"Do you believe Die’s story about the woman in the toilet?"

Toshiya joined his eyebrows; he moved closer to Kyo, "What do you mean?"

"After I won some bet, which I always do!" Kyo grinned widely, "I went to the bathroom"

Toshiya jumped, he didn’t know much about what happened to Shinya. Die told him that Shinya exaggerated the way they kissed. Die said the kiss wasn’t that bad, but Shinya took it as the end of –his- world. Toshiya was suspicious that something –else- happened to the drummer, but he couldn’t say anything. He bit his lower lip, then pulled Kyo’s shirt gently, demanding for an explanation.

"Do you think Shinya told Kaoru that Die rape him or something? Knowing Shinya…and Die…" Toshiya asked carefully. But there was no reply from the small guy.

"Kyo, was Die telling the truth?" Toshiya looked at Kyo curiously.

"…"

"Kyo!!!" >_< Toshiya yelled near the vocalist’s ear. Kyo was surprised; therefore he screamed louder causing Toshiya to moved away. "Kyo! What the heck…tell me!" Toshiya said impatiently.

"The thing is …" Kyo began, he pouted for a second; then he continued "it makes more sense if Die didn’t see the woman you know? It will be easier for us to think that the woman doesn’t exist because Die making out with a gorgeous woman in the toilet is ridiculous!" Toshiya laughed, nodding. Kyo bit his lip,

"I saw a beautiful woman in the toilet, and trust me, she wasn’t Shinya! A tall woman with the most gorgeous body…" Kyo put up a dreamy expression. Suddenly Toshiya hit his head,

"Wake up!"

"Itai…!!!" Kyo faked a girlie voice.

"What happened then?"

"I saw her talking to Die but Die didn’t see me. Baka~! He thinks just because I’m short he can ignore me…" Kyo cursed Die, Toshiya’s eyes widened. That’s not relevant!

"I didn’t see Shinya…it’s too dark!" Kyo simply ended his story, then he started to lick his ice cream. Toshiya opened his ice cream’s pack, thinking…

"Die was there…you were there…" Suddenly Toshiya gasped. Aware of this, Kyo got up quickly and started to walk down the pavement. Toshiya didn’t realize it until Kyo was few meters away, "Hey! Kyo!"

"If something bad happened to Shinya…he should’ve screamed and you would’ve heard it right?" Toshiya asked Kyo but Kyo licked his ice cream ignoring him.

"Answer me!!!" Kyo walked, ignoring him even more. Suddenly Toshiya raised one eyebrow looking at Kyo’s back.

"It could be you right?!" Toshiya screamed. He ran quickly towards the small guy but when he reached beside him, Toshiya was ignored. Kyo softly whistled "Yo Kan" and walked away as if Toshiya wasn’t with him.

-If- something bad happened to Shinya…
