Say my name…Good boy Shin-chan
Shinya got up from the chair. He looked at his watch, time to go! Shinya held his car key in his hand and locked his apartment door.
So it’s Kaoru! He thought as he walked towards his car.
No wonder that person knows my name!
"Shin-chan…" he said his own name. He was really glad. Kaoru was the person, not some stranger, or some horrible smoker! But…but…somehow…
Why doesn’t it feel right?
Shinya bit his own lip. Of course it didn’t feel right! He was drunk, so was Kaoru! It wasn’t something planned by any of them. It just happened! Shinya himself took it as a bad thing, how could it feel right?!
"Shin-chan…" Shinya said his own name once again. Kaoru never called me that way…maybe only when he was drunk! He was drunk! I was drunk…let’s forget about it! It’s Kaoru! Thank God! Not some freak!
Shinya didn’t ask anything from Kaoru. He was so happy to find out it was Kaoru because Shinya knew him. Kaoru was a nice guy, and he looked really worried when Shinya cried.
"Why?" he spoke to himself. Why would he be so shocked? Acting?
He stopped his car in the parking area reserved for Dir en grey. As he got out of the car, he tried to dismiss all the doubts he had for Kaoru. Kaoru won’t lie to me! If it wasn’t him, he would’ve told me!

"We have to be nice to him?" Toshiya raised an eyebrow. Kyo nodded, "Kaoru said it’s better not to talk about what had happened" Toshiya bit his fingernails, Where is Kaoru? he couldn’t find the guitarist. Why does he care so much about Shinya anyway?
"Somebody please tell me why I should be nice to him? I’m never nice to him before and will not be nice to him now!" Die said dryly as he leaned on the couch. "He exaggerates anyway! I only kissed him!"
Kyo glared at Die "Because Kaoru said so, and I saw how shaking you were yesterday so I think you better listen to him. If you hurt Shinya’s feeling Kaoru’s gonna kill you!" Kyo didn’t see Toshiya’s sad face, Of course! Poor innocent over sensitive Shinya! The bassist thought.
"But Kyo, nothing happened right? It was only a kiss! I don’t think a kiss hurts that much!" Toshiya asked Kyo; he was so confused! Why was Kaoru so protective? Did something bad really happen?!
Die laughed, "Gee! Everyone even Kyo is so into Shinya these days!" he got up suddenly pulled Toshiya, the bassist gasped falling on Die’s lap. Die put his arms around Toshiya’s small waist.
"Hey Totchi only you agree with me! I really wonder why!" Die stared sharply at Toshiya. The guitarist smiled seductively to him. Toshiya blushed, remembering what had happened between Die and him.
"No! Die!" Toshiya tried to free himself but Die grabbed him even tighter.
"I just want to know what Shinya told Kaoru!" Toshiya pulled Die’s hands away from him. "How if Shinya told him you raped him or something?"
Suddenly Die held Toshiya’s chin, forcing the bassist to look at him, "Why do you care so much?" Die parted his lips sexily, Toshiya blushed even more. He looked at Die, the guitarist’s face was so close to his.
Do you regret sleeping with Die? Kyo had asked him before. Now, looking at Die…
Kaoru banged the door behind him. Toshiya jumped, Die turned and Kyo gasped. "Ohaiyo", Kaoru said coldly. He saw Die holding Toshiya in his arms, sitting on the couch. Toshiya’s lips were parted as if inviting Die’s tongue to taste them. Die’s hands were holding him tightly…what else did he do that night?
Kaoru walked away to a desk and started to write something. Toshiya tried to move away from Die but the guitarist held him even closer. Toshiya pushed him with all his strength and finally Die let go. The bassist turned looking at Kaoru’s cold back facing him; he quickly walked out the room before tears rolled down his cheeks.

Shinya walked quickly towards the studio, I’m late!
Toshiya didn’t see the person in front of him and almost tripped.
"Toshiya-kun! Are you okay?" Shinya grabbed the bassist as he was going to fall. Toshiya gasped trying to hide his tears away. "Hai!…my contacts! They are falling out!" Toshiya pushed Shinya’s hand away. He quickly ran towards the bathroom. Shinya joined his eyebrows, what happened? I think I saw tears…
Shinya walked quickly towards the studio, but he stopped as he saw Yoshiki coming out from his office. Shinya bowed, Yoshiki nodded. "Shinya, do me a favor please. Could you ask Kaoru to see me? ASAP" Yoshiki smiled to him. Shinya nodded and ran to the studio. He opened the door; everyone turned to look at him.
"Hey birthday boy!" Kyo greeted him. The vocalist stood up from the couch and hugged him. Shinya was surprised, "Happy belated birthday" Kyo patted his shoulder and smiled. Kyo was never this friendly!
"Domo Arigatou" Shinya nodded as he smiled weirdly. He looked around and found Kaoru looking at him. He blushed a little and nervously walked towards him. Kyo raised an eyebrow, he made a sign to Die but the guitarist ignored him. Die lay on the couch closing his eyes. What Kyo said was quite true for him. Kaoru was in the studio so Die didn’t say anything to Shinya.
"Yoshiki-san wants to see you now. He’s in his office" Shinya said politely. Kaoru nodded, he touched Shinya’s arm, "How are you?"
Shinya smiled slightly, "Fine…"
Kaoru smiled back and walked out the room.
Kyo looked at them suspiciously. He thought that something must had happened. But what?! Kyo pouted, anything happened that night, I know the truth! He glanced at Die. The red hair guy was lying on the couch. He had his eyes shut but Kyo knew Die wasn’t sleeping. The vocalist smiled mischiefly and walked away. I’ll leave you guys alone…
Die opened his eyes as Kyo closed the door behind him. He looked at Shinya; the drummer was standing near his drum set. Die got up, "Hey, Shinya!" Shinya gasped, but quickly turned to look at Die. Die smiled to him,
"Come here"
Shinya walked slowly towards the couch. Die pouted, "What did you tell Kaoru?" he asked coldly. Shinya joined his eyebrows.
"Come on! Shinya, it was as simple as this!" Die clicked his fingers. "What the heck did you tell him?" Shinya looked at Die weirdly. Kaoru would never told Die what had happened. Beside, what was Die talking about? Shinya remained quiet, he was thinking hard. Maybe Kaoru told him…maybe Die knows about it…
"I told him…how shocked I was…and…" Shinya didn’t finished his sentence. Die was already right in front of him. Shinya saw Die’s eyes, they reminded him of something. Something about that night…(Shinya doesn’t even know Die kissed him. He thinks it’s Kaoru the whole time-L7)
"Shocked?" Die laughed "Was a kiss that shocking to you?"
Shinya widened his eyes, "A…kiss? What kiss?" Shinya asked Die. Everything was blurry to him. What was Die talking about?! What kiss? Kaoru didn’t say anything about kissing!
Die stared at Shinya blankly, "Oh…you mean…" he doesn’t even remember the kiss? Gee! That drink works well! Die thought. He smiled slyly, "Well, I was joking. Happy belated birthday" Die bit his lip, since you forgot about the present…
"Shinya…how old are you now?" Die walked around him. Shinya didn’t know Die was looking at him up and down.
"Twenty one, I thought you knew" Shinya answered softly.
"Well, I forgot. So you can go out and have proper fun right?" Die smiled to him. Shinya blushed, he quickly turned away. Die walked around him again. Shinya wet his lips, what does he want? He’s acting so weird!
"Since you’re older, you should be more open to us! I mean, you never really tell us what happens with you…you never really invite us to your house" Shinya rolled his eyes as Die went on about him trying to act so mysteriously. Shinya bit his lip,
"What do you want Die-kun?" Shinya glared at him.
"And just because you’re twenty one doesn’t mean that you can be impolite to me. I’m still older than you Shinya!" Die stared at Shinya. The drummer gulped, Die’s face was so close to him.
"You always talk about respecting you, but you’re always mean to me. Why can’t you stop telling me about this?" Shinya protested, his voice shook. Somehow he was scared at Die. He didn’t even know why he added,
"I don’t want you to intimidate me anymore!"
Die raised an eyebrow; Shinya never talked this way to him. Kaoru’s influence? He thought. Slowly, he moved closer to Shinya. The drummer gasped as Die held his chin.
"I’ll shut up if you kiss me with those lips" he whispered almost touching Shinya’s wet lips with his. Shinya panicked, that feeling filled him again. The same feeling that slipped into him whenever Die was close to him. The guitarist moved his hand from Shinya’s chin. He smiled teasingly,
"I won’t make you angry and won’t talk to you anymore but…" Die looked into Shinya’s eyes "You have to kiss me" Die knew Shinya would rather die than kissing him. Shinya stared at Die in disbelief.
"DIE!" Suddenly a voice called out loudly for him. When Die turned, he saw Kaoru glaring at him. Die rolled his eyes, "Come here" Kaoru said coldly. His tone could froze few ants (?). The red hair guy turned to Shinya before he walked away, "Think about it Shinya…" he smiled seductively.
Shinya quickly turned away; he walked out the room trying to get some fresh air. He closed the door behind him and leaned on it. Shinya touched his cheeks; they were burning. The drummer then bit his lower lip,
I want it to be him…

"What did you tell Shinya?" Die asked Kaoru. He tried to sound as casual as possible. Kaoru handed him few notes, "Yoshiki-san wants you to read them" Die glanced at them for a second. "Did you tell him about the kiss? I kissed him, but he didn’t know that!" Die looked at Kaoru’s face trying to find the answer there. Kaoru took a folder and put few sheets of paper in it.
"I told him nothing happened" Kaoru said coldly as he walked away. Die pouted.
The door opened. Kyo walked in, "Hey the soft drink machine downstairs doesn’t work!" he yelled at Die. Die sighed, "Why do you tell me that?" he threw himself on the couch. Kyo ran to Kaoru as the guitarist waved at him. "Stuff from Yoshiki-san" Kaoru simply said.
Why is he so mad? Die thought. It can’t be Shinya…it has to be something else….but what?
The door opened and Toshiya walked in. "Hey…what do I miss?" the bassist sniffed.
He’s sick?
Die opened his eyes "What’s wrong with you? You catch a cold?" Die asked concern at him. Toshiya shook his head. His nose was red. He had been crying for a long time, but decided to stop realizing that tears wouldn’t turn time back. If he could turn the time back to that night…he wouldn’t had stayed. He would’ve gone back to his apartment leaving Kyo and Die in the pub.
Is he sick? He caught cold?
"I’m fine…just something…Nevermind!" Toshiya shook his head again. Suddenly Kaoru called him,
"Toshiya…come here" Toshiya’s heartbeat fastened. He bit his lips and walked nervously to Kaoru.
"Stuff from Yoshiki-san" Kaoru handed him few sheets of paper. Toshiya sighed, nodding to him. He carefully looked at Kaoru but the guitarist had no expression in his face. Toshiya cleared his throat, "Arigatou" he sniffed again. He looked up to see Kaoru but the guitarist was staring at him. His heartbeat went faster and faster. Kaoru…he bit his lower lip.
He looks sick…his nose looks so red…and he sniffs! Did he catch cold…
Kaoru suddenly turned away; Toshiya frowned. He hates me! Kaoru didn’t even talk to him.
Well maybe Die didn’t warm him up well enough…
Toshiya walked slowly and tried to avoid Die. Kyo looked at Toshiya, then Kaoru, back to Toshiya and Die. He had a smile on his face. Now I get it!
"Shinya! There you are!" Kaoru exhaled as he saw Shinya entering the room. Shinya bowed, "Gomenasai"
Kaoru shook his head, "It’s okay. This folder is for you" Shinya stood beside Kaoru and held the folder. "From Yoshiki-san, he said this has something to do with our next single and he wants us to read the plan and …you know, the usual stuff" Kaoru smiled at Shinya. Die turned to look at Toshiya. Toshiya bit his lip while Kyo looked at him weirdly. Kaoru continued, "He said if you have anything that you don’t understand you should go and see him" Shinya nodded. Suddenly Kaoru pulled his arm,
"I need to talk to you" Kaoru whispered. Shinya joined his eyebrows. But he let Kaoru pulled him out of the room.
Kyo stared at the closed door, "no practice today?"
"Why is he so cold to us but so nice to Shinya?" Die laughed in disbelief.
Toshiya sniffed, "Well, don’t ask me!"
Kyo smiled slyly, "Maybe they’re going out!" Toshiya instantly stared at Kyo as well as Die. The red hair guy looked at Kyo weirdly.
"Maybe they aren’t; but maybe they are…" Kyo added.

"Do you want anyone to know about it?" Kaoru asked Shinya, they were in the corridor. Shinya shook his head, "Actually, it’s up to you" the drummer replied. Kaoru pouted, "You don’t want them to know…do you?"
Shinya smiled, "No…" Especially Die…Kaoru exhaled, it seemed to him that Die didn’t tell anything about the kiss to Shinya. Die…how could he…
Toshiya…you’re killing me.
Slowly Kaoru opened the door.
"Practice guys"
