Seed of Love 8

How naïve you are, Toshiya!!! You are a man, no way Kaoru's going to bring you to see his parents! Have you even told your own parents that you are -pregnant-?? You didn't either…because you can't! It's not Kaoru's fault.

Tears ran vertically down his cheeks as he went into the elevator. The moment the door closed, he slid down to the floor, his hands covering his face as he cried. He hated himself for his feeling of self-pity but what could he do? He can't help feeling this way. He hugged his knees close to his chest.

Toshiya sniffed. 

I wanted this so much; to have Kaoru's child…but Kaoru can't accept me, his family can't, our friends, no, nobody can! I…I can't accept it myself…I thought I could for Kaoru. But Kaoru…how does he feel? Does he know how I feel?

Does he…?

His hands slid over his belly, which was protruding quite noticeably especially when he touched it. A sad smile appeared on his face.

The door slid open at G. Toshiya was glad no one was waiting for the lift as he got up, wiped his wet face dry, and went out. His eyes felt puffy and he suddenly felt stupid for crying suddenly like that. But if he went up now, he would break down again surely… Toshiya sighed as he walked across the lobby. 

"Toshiya!!!"

The bassist felt his heart skip a beat. He froze on the spot, biting his lip as he waited for the sound of footsteps grow louder till they stopped right beside him. He turned his head slightly to his right just enough to see his lover who was panting, trying to catch his breath. 

Kaoru was clutching his sides, breathing hard. His face was flushed and his lips were parted as he tried to speak but couldn't so he took deep breaths as he held Toshiya's arm just in case the younger man decided to run away. 

Kaoru looks so cute like that... Toshiya thought to himself.

" To..Toshiya…fufu…I…I'm sorry," he looked up at his lover's tear-stained face. 

Toshiya shook his head. " It's not your fault."

" Listen. I hope you can feel safe with me and that you can trust me," Kaoru said as he turned Toshiya to face him, cupping his face in his palm. Gently he rubbed the tear stains of the smooth skin. " I -will- bring you to see my parents."

Toshiya smiled as he rest his cheeks against Kaoru's hands though his fine brows were knitted together into a worried frown. " Kao…I'm…I'm scared…" he whispered softly, bringing his hands up to touch Kaoru's as he looked into his eyes. He blinked and felt the moisture collect along the rims of his eyes. "I'm scared…about what's happening to me now…I…I don't know and it's all so…so abnormal! It's freaking me out!" His voice grew louder and shakier as a tears rolled down. 

Kaoru frowned. "Totchi…" Wrapping his arms around his shoulders, Kaoru stroked his back. 

" What if…what if something bad is happening to me? If…" Toshiya pushed Kaoru away and asked him with crystal like droplets hanging on to his lashes. 

" No! I won't let anything bad happen to you!!!" Kaoru stated firmly. 

" But…"

Before Toshiya could say another word, the older man enveloped him in a tight hug. " I'll always be with you, beside you! Even though I can't say I understand how you feel but I'll try my best so please don't be scared…"

Toshiya heard those words and his heart seemed comforted, his fear and confusion disappeared for the moment as he was safely in his lover's arms. " Kaoru…you're so good to me…" he smiled, wiping his tears against his koi's shirt. 

" Of course… I love you ne…" Kaoru whispered softly.

"…"

" Aww…that's so sweet. *sniffu*"

Toshiya and Kaoru whirled around towards the source. A snickering Kyo came out of hiding from behind the wall. 

" What are you all doing here?!!" Kaoru exclaimed crossly as he saw Die and Shinya behind Kyo too. 

" We came to check if you made up with Toshiya," Die said with a overly concerned look on his face. 

Shinya walked up beside Toshiya. "It's good you two settled it…"

Toshiya was so touched he hugged Shinya, surprising the young drummer. "Thank you…" 

Shinya blushed in embarrassment. "Haa, I didn't do anything."

"But I feel that I owe you a lot!!!" Toshiya said, smiling at Shinya. As he was standing there, suddenly he felt something rub against his ankle. "Eh?"

"How come…" Kyo looked at Toshiya's feet. 

"Aww, how cute!!!" Toshiya squealed suddenly, making everyone take a step back. A little kitten with grey striped fur was nuzzling against the front of his shoe now. He bent down and picked it up, holding it close to his chest. "Kawaii yo!!!^o^!"

"Mew…"

Shinya gulped as he looked at that thing Toshiya was carrying. Inside his head, he was screaming but it was too sudden that his reaction became slow. "Na…a…WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH>__<! Cat!!!!!!!!!!!" suddenly he burst screaming. 

Everyone else: O___O!!!

Shinya ran away, flapping his arms. "Waa…!!!" If not for Die catching him in time, he would've run straight into the wall. 

" Whoa, Shin-chan, Shin-chan!!!" Die tried to calm him down. 

"Cat! Cat cat cat!!!!!! I. Hate. Cats!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He grabbed Die's shirt and tried to hide himself in Die's chest. 

Die looked at his other bandmates. "I think he has cat phobia^^;;…"

Toshiya pouted but the pout turned into a sweet smile as he looked at the cat he cuddled in his arms. "So kawaii…~" He stroked its head, ruffling the fur. 

" Eww…Totchi! Put it down! It's so dirty!" Kaoru made a face. 

" Mou…it's cute!!!" Toshiya said again. "I want to keep it!" he squealed and Kyo decided to go see how Die's dealing with Shinya's cat phobia. 

" But…you don't even know where it came from! What if it already has an owner?" the older man pointed out. 

Toshiya pouted, patting the kitten. "…… But it's so dirty and scrawny…"

"Hmph…"

"…that means he's probably a stray with no owner nor home ne…" Toshiya turned to look at Kaoru, pouting with his eyes round and sad. 

"Ne, no pets allowed in our apartment remember?"

Toshiya pouted even more. He hugged the mewling cat close to his chest. "But…" he bit his lower lip as he rubbed one eye with his hand. 

"Hey…"

"Such a poor thing…" he sniffed.

Kaoru felt his heart softening. He sighed as he resigned to nodding his head in defeat. "Okay, okay…"

Toshiya perked up. "Really?"

" But you have to make sure it's clean and doesn't run out of the apartment. Or else if the neighbours see and…"

"Oh, Kaoru!!!!!! Thank you!!!" Toshiya threw one arm around Kaoru and planted to wet kiss on his cheek. "You're the best!!!"

" Totchi…" Kaoru blushed a little as they hugged. The kitten curled itself into a ball in Toshiya's other hand, purring softly in between the warmth of the two bodies.
