Shinya had started crying as he listened to Ino tell him, even J had turned his head towards them and was listening and watching Ino as he talked.

"Gackt had rescued us. When we found out what he was we begged him to change us, so that J and I could be together forever, and never have to worry about the other dying. He refused for a long time," Ino smiled remembering, "But eventually we pursuaded him. That’s exactly how it happened. Right, J?"

There was no answer, and when Ino and Shinya looked up Mana was standing in the doorway with his hand clamped down over J’s mouth.

They both jumped to their feet and Ino jumped in front of Shinya, but he stared longingly at J.

"That was a very touching story, Ino-chan." Mana mocked him. "Now move out of the way or I’ll snap J’s neck."

Ino only hesitated for a moment. "Please, don’t hurt him." He dropped down to his knees.

Mana made a noise in his throat and let J fall to the floor. Ino crawled to him quickly and clutched onto him in a death-grip hug.

Shinya gasped, now completely exposed to Mana who stood in front of him. He backed into the corner of the room, there was nothing he could defend himself with except…

Mana glared at him. "Why are you afraid of me? Come here, Shinya."

As Mana reached for Shinya, Shinya dropped down and picked up one of the blankets, covered in dust and debree and threw it in Mana’s face. Mana screamed in shock as the dust flew in his eyes.

Shinya dashed for the door and shrieked as Kozi ran into the room and grabbed him.

Gackt woke up when someone was pulling him by his arms down the basement stairs. His body dragged along the ground. He moaned.

"Oh good, your awake. Now you can walk for yourself."

Gackt was dazed as the unknown person helped him to his feet. Gackt steadied himself against a wall and looked at who it was. "Yu~ki!"

Gackt almost jumped to attack him but stopped when Yu~ki held up his hands. "Please. I want to help you get Shinya back."
