The MX10 Mixer
I bought the MX10 in 1996 after 3 years of going down to Crewe to use Nigel's exact same machine.  It features 2 video/ audio inputs along with microphone & auxillary (CD player) inputs.  It has great facilities including cross fade & many wipes plus a digital still, strobe, mosaic & paint.  There's also a super impose feature which is useful for titling.   The joystick on the left hand side is for positioning wipes etc.
I have been extremely pleased with the MX10 and would recommend it to anyone who is starting out in amateur video production.

Sony Digital 8
This camera has filmed:
Timestealers 1 & 2, Murder By Blackmail, Gamble, Millennium Dome.
Unfortunately it was thrown on the tip years ago.
I was given this camera by my then friend Wes Butters, who starred in Timestealers 1 & 2.  It didn't work when I acquired it and has never worked since.  The good thing to come out of this camera is its very sturdy carrying case which doubled as the original case the Visitor costume came in as seen in many of The Visitor episodes.  The camera no longer exists as it was thrown on the tip years ago.
I bought this camera brand new from Alan Wood of Stoke Cine & Video Society in 1999.  It has filmed:

The Visitor 1, 2 & 3,  Timestealers 3 & 4, Sexy Does Blackpool, Ten Minute Tour of New York, The Piano Man, My Careless Whisper Music Video and other small projects.
It is still in operation but the view finder doesn't work anymore.  However, if it is connected to a monitor then it is still useable.
