Other than the Live 66 concerts, many people consider this show to be the best bootleg ever for Bob. It certainly captures him at the height of his acoustic period. He is cheerful, talkative, and humorous (sort of - he's not really funny per se, but he thinks he and laughs at his own jokes). It's easy to close your eyes and picture yourself in the hall amongst the chain smoking beatniks. He was their darling poster boy for folk - the pseudo intellectual talk, the non-linear imagery, and the lyrical intimacy of protest (just like you and Bob are the only ones in on 'it') --- just nod your head and pretend that you fully understand the deeper meaning of all the songs, ah, he's so clever, such deep insightfulness - see, you can fit right in! This Halloween show also features the classic line "Tonight I'm wearing my Bob Dylan mask."
