Starship - Starshine
Shirley Maiewski
She gleams
There in the Starshine
Gleams, waiting for me
I rise, moving to meet her
Guiding my craft
Through limitless sea.
She gleams
There in the Starlight
Gleams, beck'ning me in.
She calls, I eagerly answer
Seeking protection
From Earth's flashing din.
She gleams
Points of light streaming,
Gleams, showing the way
To doors, now closing around me
Holding me safe
In her brightly lit bay.
She gleams
Now on the inside
Gleams, casting on me
Rays, from radiant panels
Lighting my path
To where I must be.
She gleams
Still in the Starshine
Gleams, as onward we go
On, to whate'er fate awaits us
In reaching the stars
That men seek to know.
