Former Members
Nikki Sixx – Bass (2002-2004) Nikki Sixx started his musical journey around 1979, when he played bass in the bands London and Sister. London recorded a few demos with Sixx, but never released any albums with him. Nikki is a co-founding member of Motley Crue. He and drummer Tommy Lee formed the band in the spring of 1981. Motley Crue released five extremely successful albums between 1981 and 1989, selling multi-millions of each of these albums. Motley Crue survived through a few lineup changes and suffering album sales later in their career, between 1991 and 2000. Nikki also formed a side project called 1958 with Dave Darling in 1996. The band recorded a set of demos, and released a full-length album in 2000, under the band name 58, titled “Diet for a New America.” 58 never toured in support of the album, as Sixx was busy with Motley Crue. The Crue parted ways in late 2000, leaving Sixx with a lot of free time. By 2002, Nikki had decided to form a new band. That summer, he began talking to Tracii Guns. The two finally joined forces around October, and the band Cockstar was born. Sixx soon changed the band’s name to Motordog, and finally to Brides of Destruction. Sixx played bass and co-wrote all of the band’s songs between 2002 and late 2004. He is featured on the band’s debut album, “Here Come the Brides” and toured with the band in late 2002 and throughout the spring and summer of 2004. Sixx parted ways with BOD in late 2004, as Motley Crue had reunited. Motley Crue has since released new music and embarked on an extremely successful tour throughout 2005. Nikki is credited with co-writing a few of the songs on BOD’s new album, and he may or may not work with the band later in the future. Kris Kohls – Drums (2002-2003) Kris was in a band with Tracii Guns called Kilowatt in 2000. He later joined Adema, and played on the band’s self-titled debut album, having a highly successful single called “Giving In.” In late 2002, Kris joined Brides of Destruction, reuniting with his old friend Tracii Guns. Kris recorded the band’s first set of demos, which appear on the band’s debut album, “Here Come the Brides.’ Kris left the band a few months after, citing scheduling conflicts with Adema, who had later released two more albums, titled “Insomniac’s Dream” and “Unstable.” The band’s singer left the band right before the band recorded their latest album, “Planets.” Kris and Adema teamed up with Brides of Destruction on their fall 2005 American tour. Kris is also a lefty, which is cool.
John Corabi - Guitars (2002) John started his musical quest as a guitar player in the mid-1980’s. I believe his is from Philadelphia. When John moved to Los Angeles, he became the singer for the band Angora. Angora did not release any albums. John then became the singer for the band Saints and Sinners. This band recorded demos, and eventually was signed to Hollywood Records around 1990. The band changed their name to The Scream, and released the album “Let it Scream” in 1991. The Scream was a highly acclaimed band at this time but their album did not sell well. In early 1992, John was asked to join Motley Crue as the replacement for Vince Neil. The Crue released it’s one and only album with Corabi in March of 1994 after many setbacks. The album (originally titled “Til Death Do Us Part”), “Motley Crue,” was certified “gold” by the RIAA in mid-1994, but it was considered to be a failure as it did not match any of Motley Crue’s previous successes. Motley Crue also released an EP with Corabi in the summer of 1994 called “Quaternary.” The band began to record another album in 1995, titled “Personality #9,” but by the fall of 1996, Corabi parted ways with Motley Crue. In 1997, John teamed up with former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick to form Union. Union released their self-titled debut in 1998, and a live album titled “Live in the Galaxy” in 1999. In early 2000, the band released “The Blue Room,” and broke up a few months later. At this time, John joined Ratt, replacing guitarist Keri Kelli. John has remained with Ratt for the past five years, and toured with them in the summer of 2005. Ratt has not yet recorded or released any new music with Corabi on guitar. John joined the Brides of Destruction in late 2002, when Nikki Sixx asked him to join the band as a second guitar player and co-songwriter. John remained in the band for a couple of months in 2002 and played a few live shows with the band at this time. He also co-wrote and played guitar on the band’s first two sets of demos, which appear on their debut album, “Here Come the Brides.” John left the Brides in later 2002, as the band had decided to go in a more metal direction (John also supposedly had issues with Tracii). He has also been working on a solo album for the past few years, which has not yet been released. For more information on John Corabi, please visit the “Chronological Crue” website, linked below.
Ginger – Guitars (2005) Ginger was born on December 17, 1964. He formed The Wildhearts in 1992, and the band released their debut album, “The Earth vs The Wildhearts” in 1993. The band released a string of albums throughout the 90’s and toured until recently. Ginger disbanded The Wildhearts in late 2004 due to frustration of the band’s lack of commercial success. The Wildhearts did receive a good deal of attention in 2003-2004 because they toured with their friends, The Darkness, who were mega-successful around this time. Ginger joined Brides of Destruction in January of 2005 along with his friend, Scott S. Sorry of Amen. Ginger played guitar with the band and co-wrote a string of songs for a few months in early 2005. He also played a few shows with them during this time. Ginger quit the band a few months later, as he had become frustrated with the band and Tracii.
Adam Hamilton – Drums/Guitar (2002) Adam Hamilton was the drummer for CC DeVille's (of Poison) band way back in the early 90's when CC had just left Poison. Adam went on to be the drummer for the band Joe 90, with whom he released one album in 1999. He had also been in the band No. 9 (with Kenny Kweens from the Beautiful Creatures). Adam went on to join LA Guns in very late 2001, when he replaced Muddy. He played the bass on the early 2002 tour in support of "Man in the Moon" and co-wrote & played on the "Waking The Dead" album. He has tour with the band throughout 2002 and 2003 in support of it. In 2002, Adam played guitar and drums in the infancy stage of Tracii's band, Brides of Destruction and was originally going to be their other guitar player (before John Corabi was in the band), but he did not become a permanent member of the band, and has stuck with LA Guns. Adam also played on the "LA Guns Rips the Covers Off" and “Tales from the Strip” albums and has toured with the band throughout 2004 and 2005. Adam's birthday is on November 11, 1969.
Steve Bruno – Bass (2004) Steve “Stevo” Bruno was the producer for the band’s first to sets of demos, which are featured on their debut album, “Here Come the Brides.” Hence, Bruno produced the band’s debut album (ha ha). In mid-2004, when Nikki Sixx had announced at various times that he was planning on reuniting with Motley Crue for a farewell tour, Steve Bruno was announced as Nikki’s replacement. The plan was that while the Crue and Sixx were on tour, the Brides would also tour with Steve on bass. Sixx was supposedly going to remain a member of the BOD while Bruno was on tour with them, and then Sixx would return to the fold after Motley Crue’s tour had ended. Sixx and Tracii Guns ended up fighting over the departure, and for some reason Steve did not end up joining the band.
James Michael and Gilby Clarke – Guitars James Michael co-wrote many of the songs with Nikki Sixx on Motley Crue’s “New Tattoo” album, as well as “Red, White, and Crue” and BOD’s “Here Comes the Brides.” When John Corabi left BOD in late 2002, James Michael was named as one guy who Nikki and Tracii agreed on as a potential replacement. Gilby Clarke was the other potential player named. Gilby was in the bands Candy and Kill For Thrills in the late 80’s, and joined Guns N’ Roses between 1991 and 1994. In 1994, he began his solo career, and has since released a string of solo albums. Gilby has worked with LA Guns as their producer on the “Shrinking Violet” “A Night on the Strip” “Cocked and Re-Loaded” and “Man in the Moon” albums. Neither of these two guys were actually in Brides of Destruction though.
