Paganism (or more accurately Neopaganism) is one of the fastest growing family of religions. By some people's perceptions, Discordianism can be considered
a Neopagan (ir)religion. Many Discordians do not consider Discordianism or Erisianism to be Neopagan at all. But this is really due to the public perception of Neopaganism being
fluffy, or "lite" and has nothing to do with the true history of Neopaganism or Discordianism's place within it. Be that as it may, we have tried to keep Discordian-related or Eris-related articles from this
section. Surf the rest of this site, in case you are looking for those sorts of things.
The following articles deal with various aspects and currents in today's Neopagan community. Articles written by Irreverend Hugh tend to
focus around issues related to his involvement with Wicca. Others deal with issues affecting all Neopagans.
Any of you reading this, whether from any Neopagan path or simply interested, should feel free to send in your work if you wish to contribute anything. (See our contact page for info on submissions.)
Some of you may have noticed that this page was the old index for all Pagan-related and Occult-related articles. Because Paganism is really a family of religions and doesn't necessarily
have anything to do with the "occult," we have moved all of the occult-related articles to their own index page. (Go to the occult page for those articles.)
Please note that attempts at proselytization or evangelizing are not welcome. And we reserve the right to include any reactions to such attempts in future articles. That said, those of you who are not Neopagan and couldn't care less about Neopaganism have thousands of websites and forums online where
your concerns can be adequately addressed. Thus, articles by Christians (or others) containing prejudices against Pagans, shouldn't be sent to us. Because we choose to not post Christian (or other) articles attempting to denigrate Paganism here doesn't take away anyone's religious freedoms.
Pagans don't go to your places of worship or to your homes to promote their faith, so accord them (and us) the same respect.
[NOTE: We had to ask Irreverend Hugh, the author of most of the following articles, to allow us to republish them here. Even though he no longer identifies himself as a Pagan or anything else for that matter (which is not a surprise since he is a Buddhist), these articles represent where he was at the time when he wrote them.
In case you haven't seen the PMM home page or the update page, the PMM melted down in February of 2007 and has now recovered. Much of this site was also pulled down, but it was decided to restore the whole damned thing, including newer additions and submissions as we get around to them.]
