History of Tri Delta |
Delta Delta Delta was founded at Boston University in 1888 by Sarah Ida Shaw who stated: "Let us found a society that shall be kind alike to all and think more of a girl's inner self than of her personal appearance." The first initiation took place on January 15, 1889. |

Poseidon - the patron Greek divinity of Tri Delts. |
Colors: Tri Delta's colors are silver, gold, and cerulean blue. Green is also significant for Tri Delta as it represents the union of the three colors. Flag: Adopted by the 1906 convention, the Tri Delta flag is rectangular with three vertical bars. The first is sea green with three white deltas, the second, white with a green pine tree, and the third, sea green with three white stars. |
