In 1999, Tri Delta joined with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to form a partnership. With this arrangement, St. Jude assists Tri Delta chapters to plan philanthropy events that will directly benefit the children and subsidize research costs at St. Jude. In less than four years, Tri Deltas across the nation raised over $1,000,000 dollars to build a Teen Room at the Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Our chapter helps out the community year round, and for various causes. We hold two major philantrhopic events a tear, starting with Score-A-Cure, a softball tournament, in the fall.We not only raise money through team participation, we also write letters to our friends and family asking for their support. In the spring, we have a crawfish boil called "Krawfish for the Kids." Each spring we receive donations from local food companies for the crawfish, and use local volunteers (and ourselves!) to cook and serve the food. Many of our fellow Greeks, and many non-Greeks as well come to support us and enjoy some delicious seafood to support St. Jude.'s
More about Tri Delta's Commitment:

In July 2006, Tri Delta's Executive Board announced a $7.5 milllion commitment to the hospital for the construction of the new Chili's Care Center (Chili's is another one of the top supporting organizations for St. Jude). The Tri Delta Patient Care Floor will be located in the new building where patients will be treated and brain tumor research can continue. This commitment was expected to be completed over a period of 5-7 years; however, within 5 months, in December of 2006, Tri Delta chapters across the country had already raised $2.5 million. So, in March of 2007, Tri Delta's Executive Board and St. Jude announced that we were raising the bar and our commitment would now be $10 million in 10 years. We like to call it -
"10 in 10!"
