| Joseph Libra married *Vincenta Zbytovsky, the daughter of Joseph and Elenora Safr Zbytovsky. She was born about 1840 at Jimramovske Paseky. They had four children: Joseph, Josephine, Frank, Vincent ....................................... Family rememberances recall Joseph as a tall man; I mention this because it is noted in family histories that he served in the Uhlan Regiment in the Austro-Italian War. To serve in this regiment, men needed to be at least six feet tall to be able to throw a spear while riding a horse. In **1869 Joseph was killed by a falling tree branch in the forest where he was working at his trade as woodsman. He was about 35 years of age. Within a few weeks of Joseph's death, Vincenta was delivered of another child, a son, Frank was born on May 31, 1869. As a widow, with no visible means of support and a new baby to tend to, Vincenta had no choice but to place the older children with relatives. In exchange for taking the children in, they were expected to work on the farms and earn their room and board. They did receive an education in addition to the manual labor they were expected to do. At some point, thinking that her life would improve and that she could have her family all together again, Vincenta remarried. Her hopes were dashed after a short time when the new husband turned out to be a ne'er do well, and he was the one who needed supporting. (* Vincenta was also called Cenka Vincenta **Some information indicates Joseph died in 1868) |

| 2. Josephine was born July 1, 1863. She married Frank Topinka, November 27, 1881. Josephine died July 12, 1957 at the age of 94 Frank died September 2, 1926 at the age of 72 Frank and Josephine had nine children: Josephine, Bess, Mary, Frank, Matilda Emily, Rudolf, Agnes, Alice |
| All of Joseph and Vincenta's children came to the US except for Vincent. No further information is known about him at this time. (I have also seen Vincent's name as Vaclav) |

| Joseph was born January 12, 1885, he married Frances Christofek January 23, 1912. They had ten children. Joseph died July 2, 1941 at the age of 56 Frances died March 23, 1985 at the age of 91 |
| Anton was born February 16, 1889, He married Anna Dedic January 25, 1915. They had eight children. Anton died March 30, 1981 at the age of 92 Anna died November 5, 1929 |

| Josephine Emily was born November 16, 1891, She married Frank Blahnik in June 1912. They had five children: Frances, Mary, Joseph, Frankie, Mary Josephine died December 2, 1986 at the age of 95 Frank died March 11, 1953 at the age of 65 |

| Josephine was born July 5, 1884. She married Charles Lyons, the son of Carl Lyons They had one son. Josephine died June 5, 1960 at the age of 75 Charles died September 14, 1952 at the age of 78 |

| Bess was born March 25, 1886. She married Oscar Bromander, son of Johan and Anna Larsdotter Bromander.. (If someone knows the correct spelling of Oscar's last name, please contact me.) They had no children. Bess died April 10, 1990 at the age of 104 Oscar died June 21, 1929 at the age of 43 |

| Mary was born October 12, 1886. She married William Drever, son of John and Anna Harkness Drever. They had two children. Mary died March 28, 1978 at the age of 91 William died December 2, 1956 at the age of 77 |

| Frank was born June 27, 1888. He married Melvina Gagnon, daughter of Joseph and Octivia Briere Gagnon. They had six children. Frank died May 7, 1981 at the age of 92 Melvina died April 2, 1970 at the age of 77 |

| Matilda was born January 8, 1891. She married Frederick Pike McKusick, son of Levi and Harriet Monk McKusick. They had six children. Matilda died August 9, 1983 at the age of 92 Frederick died March 23, 1966 at the age of 85 |
| Emily was born January 8, 1891 She was a twin sister to Matilda. I currently have no further information for her. |
| Rudolf was born Mary 5, 1893. He never married. He died March 28, 1916 at the age of 22. |

| Agnes was born July 30, 1899. She married Andrew Dillon; he was the son of Michael and Margaret Flood Dillion. Agnes died October 9, 1983 at the age of 84 Andrew died October 4, 1967 at the age of 70 |

| Alice was born May 15, 1903. She married Harry S. Jackson, he was the son of Henry and Selma Anderson Jackson. They had no children. Alice died March 2, 1994 at the age of 90 Harry died May 28, 1983 at the age of 84 |

| 3. Frank Joseph was born May 31, 1869. He married Josefka Vasek she was the daughter of Anton and Emilie Prochaska Vasek. The settled in Colfax County, Nebraska. They had three children: Joseph, Frank V. and Josephine Frank died April 13, 1952 at the age of 82 Josefka died July 25, 1958 at the age of 83 |
