| Joseph Zbytovsky* fought in the Civil War. He enlisted in Racine, Wisconsin on August 21, 1862 and was mustered into service September 17, 1862 in Milwaukee. He was a Private in Company D, 26th Wisconsin Infantry, US. Army. He was wounded at the Battle of Gettysburg on July 1, 1863. He was taken to the hospital at Brooklyn, New York and died of his wounds July 26, 1863. He is buried in Cypress Hill Cemetery in New York Section 1, Grave #676. My Zbytovsky family lived for a time in Racine, Wisconsin before moving to Carver County, Minnesota.. I have not been able to discover who Joseph's family was.
