Hiatus:
As you may have noticed, posts have been a bit sparse recently. This is because I've just started a new job which requires me to work some pretty mental hours. Unsurprisingly I haven't had much time to update this site, so I think certainly for the time-being the site will be on hiatus until I have more time to be able to spend on it. Thanks for sticking with me!
22nd June RAW:
On this Monday's RAW, Mickie James teamed with the Bella Twins to take on Maryse, Beth and Rosa Mendez.
The match kicked off with Mickie and Rosa locking up. It was soon clear however that Rosa wanted none of Mickie and she made the tag to Beth. Beth quickly hoisted Mickie up onto her shoulders and tried to throw her out of the ring. Mickie evaded however and took to the top rope, but found herself being dodged as well.
Beth then knocked Mickie down with a big shoulder charge, which prompted her to rather bizarrely tag in Nickie who suffered the same fate. Beth then tagged in Rosa who went to work on her until Nickie took her down with a headscissors. She then made the tag to her sister who found herself being rammed into a corner by Beth following a big distraction by her team. Rosa then attempted a pin, but coming up short decided to tag in Maryse.
Maryse quickly hit her with a backbreaker and then attempted another pin. She then bounced her head off the mat several times before locking in a rear submission move. As Brie fought her way out of it, Maryse made the tag to Rosa who took her down with a snapmare followed by another rear submission hold.
She was able to break out of it, and after knocking Rosa down, made the tag to Mickie who then proceeded to knock Rosa down with a series of lariats. She then cleared the apron of Beth and Maryse, hit Rosa with a neckbreaker and attempted a pin which was broken up by Beth. This prompted the Bella twins to take to the ring and take Beth down with a double dropkick. Rosa then attempted to hit Mickie from behind, but quickly found herself at the receiving end of a stiff kick to the face which knocked her down and allowed Mickie to pick up the win for her team.
15th June RAW:
On this Monday's RAW, Mickie James took on Rosa Mendez in her first singles match on RAW whilst Maryse looked on from ringside.
The match began with Rosa quickly dodging Mickie's opening attack, and then laying a series of punches into her back. Mickie was quick to return the favour and knocked her opponent down with a big running punch.
Mickie then climbed to the top rope, but found herself with nowhere to go as by this time Rosa had left the ring. As Mickie tried to get her back in, Rosa simply grabbed her hair and bounced her off the ropes, giving her time to get back in and take Mickie down with a neckbreaker into a pin attempt.
Rosa then went to work on Mickie a little bit on the mat, before dragging her over to the ropes and choking her on them. She then continued to try and choke her out on the middle of the ring, but Mickie was able to break free. Rosa threw Mickie into the corner, but again Mickie dodged and this time hit Rosa with a series of flying punches before hitting her with a dropkick on the mat into a pin attempt.
Rosa then tried to stage a belated comeback, but after a failed attempt to get the better of Mickie, she left herself open to a Mickie DDT and found herself shortly pinned for the win.
After the match Maryse went to storm out, but instead choose to taunt Mickie who quickly saw her off. It can't be long now before these two go head to head for Maryse's belt.
8th June RAW:
Exams are over, so normal service can resume! On this Monday's RAW, Kelly Kelly challenged Maryse for the Divas Championship whilst Mickie James provided commentary from ringside.
The match began with the two opponents locking up, and Maryse throwing Kelly to the mat. They locked up again and this time dragged each other down to the mat where they continued to grapple each other. When they got back to their feet, Kelly hitMaryse with a series of punches and kicks, but soon all momentum was lost when both Divas took each other joint with a simultaneous clothesline.
Maryse was first to get back to her feet, and after throwing Kelly into the ropes attempted the first pin of the match. Maryse then hit Kelly with a spinning backbreaker before attempting another pin. Coming up short, Maryse picked Kelly up by her hair and threw her into the corner. This time however, Kelly was able to dodge and roll Maryse up for a pin attempt of her own.
Getting back to her feet, she hit Maryse with a series of clotheslines before taking to the top rope and hitting her with a flying crossbody for another pin attempt. Kelly then tried again to pin Maryse, but this time with a hurricanrana pin. Coming up short she fought her way into the corner and tried to climb to the top rope again. This time however, Maryse simply pulled her off and was then able to hit her with her DDT for a pin and the win.
After the match, Maryse continued to taunt Kelly until Mickie climbed into the ring and scared her off.
