KJ is a highly versatile musician from Tamaqua, PA. She's also known throught PA, NJ and DE as Kathy, Trixie, and Kat. She has performed with various musicians and is currently the lead vocalist and guitarist in Category 5, a classic rock-dance band from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA. She doesn't like to be stuck in one genre, so performing solo is a way for her to execute her abilities and styles of music not featured in her band. KJ plays a wide variety of instruments, including acoustic and electric guitars, bass guitar, keyboards, drums, and mandolin. She believes in performing crowd-pleasing material while focusing on her own tastes, as well as her original songs. Her CD "Faith Heals" consists of original songs featuring sophisticated instrumentation and vocal harmonies. KJ has performed at all types of venues, from small coffeehouses to large concert halls and fairgrounds. She also performs at weddings, parties, benefits, dinner events, etc. She plays mostly rock music, but also country, jazz, swing, classical, metal, reggae, punk, disco, various ethnic styles, etc. To sum it up, KJ is an entertainer who tailors her show to fit any audience.
