MISSUNDAZTOOD
PINK
Arista / BMG Music Canada
Ranking 8/10

With the release of Pink's sophomore album, she proves that she's learned to express her bitterness and anger in a more upbeat manner. In fact, the first single from Missundaztood entitled, 'Get The Party Started' is one of the few positive, feel good tracks on the album.

Nonetheless, Pink drops catchy chorus, sharp verses, over impressive beats on tracks that shine with masterful production. The album's style varies from an eighties anthem-esk feel on 'Don't Let Me Get Me' and 'Numb,' to rap on the upbeat 'Respect,' soulful infectious groove on 'Dear Diary,' and surprisingly only a little bit of R&B.

Overall, Pink brings some fresh and funky beats to the table with Missundaztood. Unfortunately, they have a little bit too much pop influence, and thus risk growing old fast. There were however, a great number of impressive tracks. And without a doubt, Pink proves that she definitely has a lot more skills than pop-rival Britney Spears. Watch for future singles to scorch up the charts.
