N.W.A. (Niggas With Attitude) was a quintet of some of the most influential gangsta rappers of all-time. Although Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren and DJ Yella only remained together for a few years in the late eighties and early nineties, they left a profound impact on the rap scene. The N.W.A. Legacy Volume 2 is yet another impressive compilation of songs from NWA artists and their affiliates.

However, Volume 2 doesn't compare to Volume 1. Volume 1 was filled with classics from NWA, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and Eazy-E, whereas Volume 2 features more NWA affiliates and more recent tracks. In fact, of the 19 tracks, only six are dated to pre-1996.

Nonetheless, N.W.A. never disappoints, as The N.W.A. Legacy Volume 2 makes for a thoroughly enjoyable listen. It features recent hits like Snoop Dogg's 'B Please' and 'Just Dipping;' Kurupt's blazing 'Behind The Walls;' Ras Kass' 'Ghetto Fabolous;' Tha Eastsidaz' 'Got Beef' and Westside Connection's 'Gangstas Make the World Go Round.' Classics include Ice Cube's 'AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted,' DJ Quick's 'Born and Raised in Compton' and Eazy-E's 'Eazy Duz It' & 'Ole School Shit.'

Given the old school quality of Volume 1, The N.W.A. Legacy Volume 2 just can't compare. However, given the lineup of songs mentioned above, how can one go wrong? You can't. I suggest you cop this one if you don't already have most of the songs.
