More than six years after joining forces, one of Pittsburgh's biggest hip-hop acts, Strict Flow, have finally released their debut album, Without Further Ado. Renowned for their energetic live show, Strict Flow is composed of MCs Masai and Sied, turntabalist Chad Glick and the multitalented instrument man, E. Dan. Without Further Ado is filled to the brim with party hearty mainstream club bangers. This nationally distributed independent album is free of clutter as it includes only four featured artists. This gives MCs Masai and Sied plenty of room to demonstrate their slick footed vocal flow. Although lyrically devoid of much content, they do pull up their socks on the captivating 'Russian Roulette.' The song deals with the risk of unprotected sex and presents it in a way superior to any songs alike. Without Further Ado fails to push the boundaries of hip-hop, thus presenting risk-free show-captivating sounds guaranteed to rock a crowd. Although missing a standout hit, Without Further Ado does provide some impressive cuts. The female presence of featured artist, Invicible, makes a perfect title out of 'As Good as it Gets.' 'PAs Finest - Part 1' serenades with the nicest beat, but sounds eerily similar to my favorite Rascalz' track 'The Man That I am.' 'Outflow' is a nice pell-mell of samples and cuts at the hands of Chad Glick. There is no doubt Without Further Ado will put Strict Flow on the map. Their dedication and hard work has already established themselves as both professional businessmen and some of Pittsburgh's most talented rappers. Without Further Ado caters to the mainstream club sound, but fails to provide a distinctive standout gem. Regardless, this crew impresses with their debut and will continue to make ripples.
