TRY-ITS

The entire troop was awarded the Girl Scout Ways Try-It on September 27th. This was our first patch. To earn this Try-It, the girls learned about many girl scout traditions. They ate s'mores (yummm), made a sit-upon, sang great Girl Scout Songs, and more.

Troop members who attended the October 11, 2002 meeting earned the "Playing Around the World" Try-It. To earn this Try-It, the girls played games from different countries. Among the countries were Japan, Zimbabwe, England, the Sudan, and the USA. We also talked about where these countries are on the globe.

In March, troop members earned the My-Body Try-It by exploring how muscles work, what different motions feel like and thinking about how your body works.

The girls did a great job on this year's cookie sale and fulfilled the requirements for the Cookies Count Try-It.

On April 18th we visited the Great Southwest Equestrian Center where the girls not only earned their Just Horsin' Around Try-It but they got to ride a horse, many for the very first time.

What a great time we had having a dance party and learning lots of new dances! The girls that attended the dance party earned their Dancercise Try-it.
