This site has been set up to provide information and services to Troop 322 scouts, family members, friends, and volunteers. There will be a troop meeting tomorrow night. Please wear your Class A uniform and bring Scout Handbook. We will finish the leadership election/patrol reorganizations.
$8 food money for the tree plant (Feb 25-27 at Camp James Ray) is due during the troop meeting tomorrow night. Mr. Pittman will continue working on the Citizenship in the World merit badge. Keith Kaden and Baxter McConnell will be working on knots. We will also work on menus for the tree plant.
Next Week:
No troop meeting next week. Instead, there will be a patrol leader council meeting at 6:00pm for all scouts in leadership positions. There will be a troop committee meeting for all interested adults beginning at 6:30pm.
Mr. Todd will continue working on the Personal Management merit badge, with plans to meet at 6:30pm on Feb 28th.
Additionally, Mrs. Aldridge will complete the CPR requirements for the First Aid merit badge from 6:30-7:30pm. All scouts who started this merit badge should plan to attend.
Don't forget about Jacob Leggett's Eagle Court of Honor, March 6th at 3:00pm.
It's not too early to start thinking about summer camp. We are scheduled to attend Camp James Ray from June 19-25th. The total cost, which includes all meals, is $175 per scout. A $10 deposit is due to the troop now, with an $85 payment due on March 21st and the remaining $80 due on May 23rd.
If you have a new medical insurance card, please provide the troop with a copy for our files.

Feb - Tree Plant, Camp James Ray - Feb 25-27
March - Back Packing trip - March 12-15
April - Spring Camporee - April 15-17
May 7th - Scout Show, Market Hall, Dallas
une 11th - Concession Stand at the Fly In, Majors Field
June - Summer Camp, Camp James Ray, Jun 19-25
Our troop has been selected for a trek at Philmont from June 18-30, 2006 (a year and a half from now). Philmont requires that all participants be at least 14 years old by Jan 1, 2006 or have completed the 8th grade by the time the scout arrives at Philmont. Additionally, our troop requires all scouts attending to be at least Star in rank by the time that they leave for Philmont, and bases the selection of the scouts and adults on their participation in troop meetings and activities. We will have 9 scouts and 3 adults from our troop attend. More to come in future months.

Hey Troop 322,
First of all, thanks to all who helped with the Scouting for Food drive the past two weeks. The food collected from this service project will help feed the needs in the Greenville area.

Please plan to attend and be recognized for your accomplishment during the past six months. We will be serving refreshment following the ceremony. The refreshment schedule is:
Drinks / Eagles
Cookies / Smurfs and Vikings.
We will complete the Scouting for Food effort on Saturday, Feb 12th. This service project supports many of the needy in our area. We will meet at Grace Presbyterian Church at 9:00am. We have a large area to cover so we need as many scouts (in Class A uniform) and adults (to drive) as possible. We will count all time spent on these Saturdays as service time (required for rank).

There will be a troop meeting tomorrow night. Please wear your Class A uniform and bring your scout handbook.
We will conduct elections for leadership positions during the meeting tomorrow. Please plan to attend with this important part of our troop activities.
Mr. Todd will continue working with the older scouts on Personal Management beginning at 6:30pm. Andrew Griffin will work with the younger scouts on the proper display and use of the American Flag.
We will conduct a Court of Honor on Feb 7th (a week from tomorrow). Let's finish any partially completed merit badges and ranks.
We will support the Scouting for Food effort on Saturday, Feb 5th and 12th. This service project supports many of the needy in our area. We will need both scouts and adults to help. We will plan to meet both Saturdays at Grace Presbyterian Church at 9:00am. We should work approximately two hours each Saturday. Our area to cover this year is the southern part of Greenville. We will count all time spent on these Saturdays as service time (required for rank).

There will be a troop meeting on Monday, January 17th. Please wear your Class A uniform and bring your scout handbook.
Mr. Pittman will be starting the Citizenship in the World merit badge on Monday. This is a required merit badge for Eagle. Additionally, we will be working on the tote 'n chip requirements. Please bring a pocket knife with you to the meeting.
Don't forget about the troop lock-in at the Greenville YMCA on Friday, Jan 21st, starting at 8:00pm and ending at 6:00am on Saturday morning. The cost is $5 per scout and includes pizza. We will open the swimming pool for a while, and will have access to the racket ball and basketball courts. Plan to attend. This is also a great time to invite a friend who might be interested in joining our troop.

There will be a troop meeting on Monday, January 10th. Please wear your Class A uniform and bring your scout handbook.
Dr. McConnell will be working with our scouts on the First Aid merit badge - one required for Eagle. I strongly suggest that all scouts who need this merit badge attend the meeting. Additionally, we will be starting on the Emergency Preparedness merit badge for those who already have the first aid merit badge.
We will conduct a Court of Honor on Feb 7th. Monday is a great time to finished any partially completed merit badges and ranks.
