To: All members, leaders, and parents of Troop 613

Subject: Camping Policy

The Troop will follow and abide by the rules and regulations of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) while using BSA camping facilities/reservation. These rules include but are not limited to the following:

    1. There must be two adults at camp at all times, a minimum of one must be currently trained in youth protection.
    2. Personal guns, bows or fixed blade sheath knifes are not permitted at scout activities.
    3. No pets are allowed at camp.
    4. No alcohol or illegal drugs are allowed at scout activities.
    5. Fireworks are not allowed.
    6. All damaged rental equipment must be paid for.
    7. No trees, alive or dead will be cut without permission of the Camp Ranger.
    8. All cars must be parked in the designated parking areas.
    9. Coleman liquid fuel stoves will be used only under adult supervision and any extra fuel will be stored with the Camp Ranger.
    10. Nobody is allowed to ride in the rear of a truck.
    11. All garbage will be disposed of properly, either taken home or placed in a Dumpster. The camp must be left clean.
    12. The Camp Ranger is in complete charge of the BSA Reservation.

Troop 613 has established the following additional requirements:

    1. Each scout is responsible for their own equipment (personal and/or rented). The Troop does not accept any liability for damaged or lost equipment.
    2. A maximum of two scouts are allowed to sleep in a tent (No Exceptions).
    3. Smoking is prohibited in the vicinity of minors.
    4. The Scoutmasters are in charge at all times. He or She has the responsibility and authority to enforce the policy of the BSA and the Troop. This includes the authority to request a person to leave the activity and/or camp.
    5. No electronic devices (i.e. games, CD players, etc.) are to be used while at camp. The only exception is that music can be listened to at bedtime provided earphones are used and it is not heard outside the tent. If a device is seen or used at anytime other then stated above it will be taken by a leader and returned at the end of the scouting event.
