Troop 72 is chartered to the First Presbyterian Church in Marlboro, NY. The Church is at the corner of Grand and DuBois Street.

The Troop is part of the Rip Van Winkle Council, Boy Scouts of America. The Rip Van Winkle Council serves the youth of Green and Ulster Counties in the Catskill Mountains area of New York.

Troop meetings are every Tuesday from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The Patrol Leaders Council meets at 6:00 p.m. on the last Tuesday of each month.
The Troop Committee meets at 7:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month.

The Troop's organization and rules are outlined in the Troop Handbook.

The Troop has three patrols; the Roadrunner, Viking, and the Eagle Patrol.
