Successful completion of the BSA swim test (with in the past year) is needed for this activity.  This is a basic course with instruction and a brief time in the pool.  This is a great way to see if you like SCUBA.

May 24 – Alex Nussbaum’s Eagle Court of Honor - 2:00PM-4:30PM, Mt. Hebron Presbyterian Church.  Ceremony begins at 2:00 in the Chapel, Refreshments in the Fellowship Hall following.  Please RSVP by May 12 to the Nussbaums.

June 14 – Howard County Boat Float – Have we filled out the registration for the boat float yet? The boys are planning and I think they have begun work on their floating creation.  We should probably send a check in.

We also have the following events planned – but we need adults to manage these events:

  1. A trip to a local water park tentatively scheduled for June 20.  This can be moved to any convenient date over the summer.
  2. An overnight bike trip on the calendar for June 27-29.

Other Notes:

Howard Warner is filing for a new Youth Group Permit for MD State Parks.

Does anyone know if we will have an opportunity to work the clean up for the July 4 fireworks? We have asked Mark Bullinger to following up with the County.

Finally, now that the weather is nicer, we should make sure we can set up our archery targets and obtain permission from the church so we can schedule some target practice at meetings from mid-May through August.

Cub Scout Day Camp is on the calendar from June 23-27.  Do we have any boys interested in volunteering to lead?
