~~Valley & Brian at the Basketball court~~
"Heeyy! No Fair, Brian!" Valerie yelled as she stood there with her arms crossed.
"What's no fair? I stole the ball from you and made a basket!" Brian walked over to
her laughing. "Your suppose to let me win!" Valley pouted. "Now what fun would
that be? Besides you always win." Brian said as he pulled her in a hug. "And that's
the way it should always be!" Valley laughed. "I'm really glad you brought me out
here today," Brian smiled, "It's a prefect ending to our night." Brian then leaned in
and kissed her just as her cell phone rang. "Who can that be?" Valley wondered.
~~Nick / the accident~~
"Shit! Ow, man, my arm and head really hurt." Nick moaned. "Are you okay?" the
other driver approached his car with only a few cuts and bruises from the accident. "Your that guy from the beach?" Nick said in pain as he talked. "Yeah, Ethan...so you alright Nick?" He asked again. "I dunno, I am in so much pain right now....I think I am gonna pass out." Nick whined. "Nah, man, stay with me here, the police are on their way." Ethan told Nick. "Do me a favor?" Nick started before wincing in pain, "Tell Melly that I Love her." Nick passed out after saying that. "Nick!" Ethan said as he tapped his face to awake him as the police arrived. "He's unconscious, I think...he was awake like a minute ago...but now he's not moving." Ethan told the cops. "They'll take good care of him. I'm sure he'll be alright. You the other driver?" The police officer asked. "Yes." Ethan said. "Well, you'll have to come with me to file a report downtown." Ethan proceed to his car when he remembered Nick's favor. "Hey, do you know where he lives?" Ethan asked the officer. "Yeah, right here." the cop pointed up the driveway. "He asked me to tell his girlfriend." Ethan looked up at the house. "Okay, we'll go notify her now." The cop said as Ethan followed him up the driveway.
~~Melly in the house~~
"What is all that noise out there?" She said sitting up. ::ding-dong:: "Nicky, can
you get the door?" She got no answer as it rang again. "That's weird, he has to be downstairs." She said as she got out of bed and went downstairs. As she walked pass the coffee table, she saw his note. "Oh, he went out to the store." she said as she went to the door and opened it. "Melissa?" the police officer asked. "Yes, I'm Melissa. What seems to be the problem?" Melly said getting nervous. "There's been an accident at the end of your driveway and your boyfriend Nick was involved with it." the cop told her. "What?!! Nooo...he went to the store!" Melly started as cry as Ethan approached her. "Melly, you have to trust us here, we're telling the truth." He said as she pushed pass them crying hysterically, running to the site of the accident. "Nick! Nick!" She screamed through her tears as Ethan grabbed her before she reached the end of the driveway.
"Listen to me," Ethan said turning her to face him, "He needs you to be strong." "Is he
Okay?" She asked Ethan. Ethan looked at her not knowing what to say, "Well, he is...
he is unconscious right now." "OMG!" Melly cried harder as she fell into Ethan arms, "I
have to see him!" she said as she pulled away. "They took him to the hospital already.
I'll take you there." Ethan said hugging her to try to stop her body from shaking.
~~Melly's call to Brian & Valley~~
"Hello?" Valley answered here cell phone. "Val...ley, OmG" Melly said through her sobs.
"Melly, what's the matter? Why you crying?" Valley said as Brian stopped shooting baskets
and walked over to her. "Ni..Nic..." Melly tried to say. "Nick? What happened to Nick?" Valley
asked her friend, "Did you guys fight?" "No,...accident." Melly spilled out. "What?!" Valley yelled as she looked at Brian, "He was in an accident?" "Yes...Valley...please come here, I, I, can't handle this...I think it's my fault." Melly cried into the phone. "Baby, calm down,
where are you?" Valley asked. "Uhmm...University Hospital." She said. "Listen, just
relax, me and Brian will be there in 5 minutes!" Valley assured her friend before they
hung up their phones. "What happened to Nick?" Brian asked Valley all nervously. "He
was in some type of accident, Melly is at the hospital freaking out, we have to go!" She
said before running off to the car with Brian behind her. They peeled out the lot and
headed to the hospital.
~~The Hospital~~
When Brian and Valley arrived, they saw a strange to scene to them, Melly was
crying into Ethan's arms. "Melly!" Valley said running towards her friend. "Omg, Valley,
It's all my fault!" Melly cried into her arms now as Brian wrapped an arm around her as
well. "No, don't be silly, it's not your fault!" Brian told Melly. "Just tell us what happened."
Valley asked Melly. "Well, he woke me up by kissing me and I said I was tired, so he let
me go back to sleep, then apparently he went to go to the store. But if I stayed awake, he
won't have gone to the store!" Melly cried. "Sweetie, relax and listen for me, It's not your fault!" Valley looked her friend in her sad eyes. Valerie held Melissa tight as her body shook from all her crying. Brian went to over to one of the nurses to find out what is going on with Nick. "Excuse me, Nurse, how is Nick?" "A doctor will be out here soon." she simply said before walking away but Brian called out to her, "Is he alright though?" "A doctor will be out here, sir." the nurse said as she continued walking. "Nick's family?" a doctor came out to the waiting area. Melly shot up, "What happened to my baby?" "Well, he is very lucky. He is conscious now and only has a sprained arm and a minor concussion." "Can I please go and see him?" Melly asked. "Which one of you is Melly? He has been asking for you since he woke up." "She is." Valley said to the doctor. "Alright then, comewith me and I'll take you to him." The doctor escorted Melly to Nick's room. The walk to his room seemed like an eternity. Melly was shaking all over, she didn't know what to expect when she entered that room. She didn't want to hurt him anymore that she already did because to her it was still her fault.
