"Melly! Can you start some breakfast?" Nick yelled downstairs as he came out of the shower.
He got no answer. 'Oh well. I'll get dressed quick and go down.' Nick thought to himself as he went into the bedroom. He threw on some boxers, a pair of sweats and a t-shirt and headed downstairs. "Melly! Melly?" Nick yelled but still got no answer. He went into the living room to look out the
porch door to see if possibly she was out there. She wasn't, just then the note Melissa left caught his eye. "What?" He said to himself as he read it. "No!" He screamed and rushed to the phone. "Brian, pick up, pick up." He said to the rings. "Hello?" Brian finally answered. "Hey Rok!" Nick yelled.
"Hey buddy! At least ya remember me!" Brian laughed. "No, no, that's not it! Melly's gone! She left a note that said how she thought she was responsible for my accident and she left me, she left, she's gone!" Nick exclaimed quickly. "Whoa, Ok, um, we'll be over right away." Brian said stumbling around. "Hurry! I don't want her to get far." Nick said hanging up.
~~Melly~~
"I can't believe that it came down to this." Melissa said to herself crying as she left her
love, Nick. "It's all for him. It's all for him." She reminded herself. "If Iwould've stayed there it just would've beenworse. I might have hurt him again or even worse. And this way the fans will leave and they will be happy cause the hazard that he was dating left him and....." Melly broke down crying. "I'm
so sorry Nick." She screamed to herself. "Stay strong. You need to stay strong to get over this." Melly told herself wiping the tears from her face. She looked into the mirror to make it look like everything was OK. and then the solution came to her. Nick was safe now that she was gone, but now she might not be safe because she was still 'Melissa Stanford'. "Identity!" Melly whispered to herself. "It's me." Melly looked at the mirror, "It's not me." She covered her, long, light brown hair. "I need to change my identity to save Nick and myself."
~~Brian and Val~~
"Val! We gotta go!" Brian yelled running to the door. "What is it?" Valerie yelled running after
him. "It's Melly. She's missing!" Brian said going outside to his Jeep. "What?" Valerie asked again. "Come on! I'll explain in the car!" Brian yelled. "OK, OK, I'm coming!" Valerie yelled back. On the way to Nick's house, Brian explained to Val exactly what Nick had told him. Just as the conversation about the phone call ended, they arrived at Nick's house where there was still some crazy fans protesting
Melly's existence. Nick met them at the door, "Come on! Before the mob gets ya!" Nick said pushing them in the door. "Nick, I'm gonna leave......" Val started but was cut off by Nick, "What? No, you can't!" "Hang on! When Melly gets mad or something like this happens I know where she goes
to think! I'm gonna go there.....most likely that's where she is!" Valerie said quickly and then leaving.

"Oh God, I've asked you for so many favors recently, but I have one more. Please let Melly be here." Valerie prayed as she parked by where she thought Melly would be. "Yes!" She whispered. "Her car is here." Valerie said turning off the engine. She got out of her car and walked
over to Melissa's. "Hey." Val said tapping on the window. "Damn." Melly said as she rolled it down. "What are you doing here?" Melly rudely asked. "We're best friends. You may be able to walk out on Nick like that but not me. "Valley said opening the door as a gesture for Melly to get out so they could talk. "Val, I don't want to talk about this. I was ruining Nick's life, so I had to leave." Melissa said almost crying again. "Listen, it's not your fault. Who knows, maybe if you would've woken up, he still might have gone to the store. You don't know. You are not to blame! These things just happen sometimes." Val explained worriedly. But still, Melly didn't listen and still believed that the accident was her fault.
