“Melly, you can't leave! You just can't I love you too much!" Nick screamed as everyone else on the plane just stared. "Nick, I need time to think. I don't want the press in my face anymore." Melissa said trying again not to cry. "But I need you!" Nick said quickly as the security guards grabbed him again. "Come with us. You are under arrest for trespassing." The largest guard said. "No, you can't!" Melissa yelled. Hesitantly she grabbed her bags and ran out of the plane behind them.
"Melissa! So you're not leaving!" Both Brian and Val yelled when she came running out. "You guys gotta drive me to the police station. They just arrested Nick!" Melissa yelled as she grabbed their hands and pulled them out of the airport. "OK, OK we're coming!" Val said following.
~~At The Police Station~~
"He's being charged with, one count of illegal trespassing, and two counts of refusing arrest." Melissa told Val and Brian as she came out of the room. "Aww, Melly, it'll be OK." Brian comforted her. "Yeah, what's the worst that it is he has to pay some fines or something?" Valley said giving Melissa a hug. "No, he's facing at least 60 days. But he's trying to negotiate because of the tour." Melissa said breaking into tears yet again. "Melly, it'll be OK. He'll figure out a way to get out of this." Brian said. "And just to think, none of this would have happened if only I would've woken up." Melissa said once again blaming herself. "It's not your fault!" Val screamed softly. "Actually it is." A voice said from down the hall. "Who the hell are you?" Brian asked angrily. "I'm a fan. I know
that bitch set this up." The fan said to Melissa's face. "Listen, no matter who you are you have no right to talk to her like that. No one does!" Val yelled getting all up in the fan's face. "Oh, and just because you know her you can talk to me like that?" The fan said back! to Val. "She might not.... BUT I DO!" Brian said to the fan. "So now Brian Littrell can just say anything he wants to a fan is that it?" the fan replied. "I might not be able to but I am!" Brian said then opened the door, "There's the way out, don't let the door hit ya in the ass on the way out!" Brian finished. The fan didn't say another word she walked out just as steamed as she was when she came in. "Thanks Brian, Thanks Valerie. You guys didn't have to stick up for me. You're the best." Melissa said giving each one of them a hug. "We know." Val said. "Hey look, Nick's done. Let's see what they figured out!" Brian
said leading both Melissa and Valerie back into the station. "Well..." Nick began to tell the group. "I got let off. All I have to do is get a couple of concert tickets for the officer's daughter, pay a few hundred dollars and I'm free to go. But..." He continued. "But what?" Melly asked. "But, until I can pay and get the tickets I have to stay in jail." He finished. "I'm gonna pay your fine!" Melissa demanded. "You don't have t..." Nick started but was cut off by Melly, "I'm paying the fine! It's my fault." "OK." Nick agreed. "And, I'll go and get those tickets right now!" Brian said. "Yeah, we can't have you stayin' in here. We'll take care of everything." Val assured Nick. "Alright, if you guys think you can handle it...." Nick had confidence but didn't show it. "We can!" and the three were off. Melissa headed to the bank to cover his fine. While Brian and Val went to talk to the tour manager to get the concert tickets.
~~At The Bank~~
"Hi, can I please withdraw $375 dollars from my account?" Melly asked the teller. "Sure, name please." The teller responded. "Uh, Melissa Stan....Melissa Stanford." Melly said softly not to be recognized. "Oh, I heard about you on the news. The picture they showed looked nothing like you." The teller said looking up. "Well, people change. Can I just get my money please! ?" Melissa demanded impatiently. "Yes, of course. Just sign here." The teller said counting out the money. "Thank you." Melissa said leaving the bank as quickly as she could to get back to Nick.
~~At The Tour Manager's Office~~
"Hello Mr. Littrell. You can go right in." The secretary said. "See, I told you! Since we called from the car we don't have to wait!" Val said urging Brian to walk faster into the office. "What can I do for you?" The manager asked. "Well, you may or may not know, but Nick was arrested earlier..." Brian began to tell the story. "What?!?!?" The manager began to flip out. "Settle down! All we need is four concert tickets and he can go free." Brian told the manager what they needed. "Oh, no problem. Hold on, I'll go get you some front row tickets and a couple back-stage passes." The manager jumped up and went into the file cabinet. "Here you go. Four tickets and 4 passes." He handed them to Brian. "Thank you so much." Brian said. "Don't bother, just go get that boy out of jail!" The manager pushed Val and Brian out the door. "Thanks again!" Val called back as they left the office. As Val and Brian got out to the car Val said, "Let me drive. I'm not a slowpoke like you. We can get there faster." She insisted. Without hesitation Brian got into the passenger's seat and they were on the way to the police station to bail Nick out.
