~Billy and Brian~
"Man, I'm excited and I'm not even the one getting married." Brian said pacing in the chapel waiting for Val to show up. "Speaking of that...when are you and Val going to tie the knot?" Billy asked sitting down. "Whoa!" Brianstopped pacing. "Who said something to you about us getting married?" He added. "No one. I just know how much you two love each other, I know it's bound to happen sometime." Billy said. "Uh, no it's not." Brian simply said sitting down next to him. "Oh, and why's that?" Billy asked. "Cause, I've brought up the subject to Val before. She's one of those people who doesn't believe in marriage for some reason. I dunno. I'm ok with it. As long as we both know that we love each other. It's alright." Brian said starting to pace again. "Calm down Rok! Goodness." Billy said. "I'm just so happy that this is actually happening. I want to get it done so Bette and Jane can't break it up!" Brian said pacing faster.
~Val, Ethan and Jason~
"Listen you little bastard! Mel and Nick ARE getting married! And you can't stop them!" Val screamed back. "Ya know what Jas, she's right...." Ethan began to trail off as Val nodded, "Bette and Jane can stop them!" He finished. "OH HELL NO!" Val pulled away. "Theyhaven't left this building yet, and I'm not going to let them. If you really liked Melissa, like you claim you do,you'd let her be happy. Well, Nick makes her happy." Val said as she grabbed her cell phone back and began to dial. "Yeah, I do care for her, but she needs to understand that I can make her so much happier. Face it, she's just with Nick for his celebrity status and the money." Ethan continued to argue. "Are you completely dense?" Val sarcastically asked. "They've been together along time and even if they don't get married today....She's not going to dump Nick for some jerk like you!" Val added.
~Val and Melly talking on the phone~
"Hey Melly. You guys better find another chapel."Val said as soon as Melissa answered. "Why's that?" Mel asked. "Because I'm standing here with two jackasses who told your moms that you are there." Valerie stared at Ethan and Jason. "What the...? Are you....?" Melly couldn't finish her sentences. "Just cancel it there and go somewhere else. Trust me!" Val turned away from
Jas and Ethan. "OK, We'll go to that chapel on Copeland Ave. See ya there right?" Melissa sighed. "Yeah, let everyone know what happened. I'll be there inten." Val ended and hung up.
~Val, Ethan and Jason~
"Now how are you gonna get Bette and Jane there?" Val asked with an evil smile. "Dammit!" Ethan
yelled. "Can't we just check every chapel?" Jason asked with a stupid look on his face. "No you dumbass. There's hundreds of chapels around here. We'll never find them." Ethan smacked Jas. "That's right! See ya later boys!" Val said as she jumped into a cab.
~At the chapel with Melly, Nick, Brian and Billy~
"Hey guys, that was Val. Apparently someone told my mom and Jane, they're on their way over." A
look of disappointment came over Nick face. "Wait though, we're supposed to meet Val at the chapel on Copeland. She said she's on her way over there right now." Melly continued. "Oh thank God!" Brian said to himself. "Let's get over there!" Billy said on his way out the door. "We're right behind ya Billy!" Nick said as he took Melly's hand. The four all headed over to the chapel on Copeland.
~Ethan and Jason~
"Now what are we going to do?" Jason asked still trying to comprehend everything that happened. "I
don't know. We've gotta figure out a way to stop them." Ethan said looking at his watch. "We don't have much time." He added. "Should we follow Valerie's cab to whatever chapel they are going to now?" Jason asked. "Ya know what? That's the first good idea you've ever had!" Ethan said. "Hold on a sec." He added.
"Excuse me once again, Mrs. Carter and Mrs. Stanford. Could we have the honor of escorting
you two wonderful ladies to the chapel?" Ethan asked Jane and Bette as they came out of the hotel. "That would be lovely." Bette said as the four got into a cab and followed the one that Val had previously gotten into. Ethan, thinking to himself, "This plan if perfect, we'll just follow
Valerie's cab to the chapel, Melissa and Nick's moms will show up without us. We'll say that we're going to get them a present quick and they can go in, ruin the wedding, I'll end up with Melissa and it'll be perfect."
"So how do you boys know my daughter?" Bette asked to break the silence. "Well Mrs. Stanford.
One day when Melissa and Valerie were walking on the beach, we met them. And then through a weird coincidence our band, Storm Watch, ended up as the opening act on the Backstreet tour." Ethan laughed. "Oh, so you two know Val and Brian as well?" Jane asked. "Yes ma'am." Jason responded. "Aren't they a lovely couple?" Jane asked still on the topic of Brian and Val. "Yes they were, but
what a shame it was." Ethan said with a wink toward Jason. "What do you mean dear? What's a shame?" Bette asked confused. "Oh maybe you never found out." Ethan
paused and gasped, "Maybe Brian never found out!" he finished. "Never found out what?" Jane asked more intensely. "I've said too much already." Ethan sat back. "No, no, you haven't said enough. Please tell us." Bette spoke on behalf of herself and Jane. Leaning in Ethan said, "Well, you didn't hear it from me but.... I saw precious Valerie with another guy the other day." he sat back once again. Gasping Bette said, "You don't say?" "Yes, Yes, I do say." Ethan said leaning in again. He continued,
"I believe it was when Brian was at rehearsal. They were walking down the sidewalk, hand in hand. They looked quite 'comfortable' together... if you know what I mean." "My goodness. I can't believe that Valerie would ever do such a thing." Bette said just as the Val's cab stopped.
"Pull over here." Jason told the driver. "Thanks." He added as the four of them got out of the cab. Jason pulled Ethan to the side. "Why'd ya tell them that Val's cheatin'?" He asked Eth. "Cause you idiot. Brian will hear and think that she really is cheating. Then all hell will break loose and you can go after Val." Ethan told his plan. "Oh, I see." Jas said as the turned back to Bette and Jane. "Here we are." Ethan said. "Why don't you two go on in and while we go grab a quick gift. We'll be back in a few." Jason said. Then without giving Jane and Bette a chance to answer, Jason and Ethan left.
~In The Chapel On Copeland~
"Val, thank God you got here." Brian said greeting her. "Oh Val!" Melly squeaked. "I can't
believe I'm getting married today!" "Well, come on, let's get you in there!" Val said leading Melissa to the door of the chapel. "You aren't getting married if we have something tosay about it!" Bette appeared at the door behind Melissa.
