~Val, Bri, and Steven as they arrive at the hotel~
Steamed Val jumped out of the cab and hurried into the lobby. As they approached the elevator, Val turned to Brian, "Ya know? I could spell out their relationship in one word." She paused, "SEX!" Val screamed as many other people in the hotel looked over at her. "That mother fucker could have gotten to her already." Val continued to yell in a fit of rage as the elevator went up to their floor. ::ding:: The elevator stopped. "Bri, you go to our room. We'll head to see if Mel and Nick are OK." Val said speed walking down the hallway.
~Back to Melissa and Nick~
"She's lovely..." Elaine, Ethan's mother barged in. "She certainly is... hun, this is my mother, Elaine, or Ella." Ethan introduced them. "Oh darling, you can call me Mom!" Elaine said stepping inside the hotel room. "She will call you Mrs. Dwiggins." Nick said stopping Elaine from coming in any further. "Who is this gorgeous man?" Elaine asked taking a step towards Nick. "I'm Nick, Melissa's fiancé... excuse me I mean husband." Nick winked towards Melly who immediately caught on. "I'm afraid you're too late Ethan. We got married this morning." Melly said latching onto Nick's arm. "Then where's the wedding band?" Ethan yelled. "Material things mean nothing. This is true love." Nick planted a kiss on Melissa. "It sure is." Melissa said smiling. "Oh, no its not." Ethan said raising his arm, ready to take a swing at Nick. Melissa then noticed Steven and Val standing in the doorway. "I dare you Ethan Scott Dwiggins. I dare you!" Melissa threatened. "Go ahead baby... Show em who's the better man." Elaine patted her son on the shoulder in anticipation.
~Brian @ his room~
He was about to slip the key card into the slot when he realized the door was already open. Hesitantly he stepped inside, slowly he rounded the corner to flip on the light switch. He heard footsteps behind him, then a! hand on his shoulder, quickly Brian spun around and swung at the figure standing before him. "Hey Bri!" The voice said. "Thank god it's you." Brian said.
~Jason~
"Dammit Ethan, move your hand." Jason said to himself. "That's better, come on swing already." he mumbled watching the TV screen that was connected to a hidden camera on Ethan's shirt button. "Wait, wait... NOW!" Jason yelled into the mic. That's why Jason fled the restaurant so quickly. To get his equipment set up in the van on the sidewalk outside of the hotel. He wanted to be nice, to warn Valerie that Ethan was getting out of jail, but once again, she rejected him and he knew the only way he and Ethan could get closer to Valerie and Melissa was forcefully.
~Brian~
"When did you show up?" Brian asked the person who was in his room. "Just a couple minutes ago." The person answered. "Then are you ready to get this plan going? We'll have to hurry, Valerie will be back here soon." Brian smiled, "You brought everything I asked right?" He added. "Don't worry. I've got everything under control." the visitor answered.
~In Nick and Melly's room~
As soon as Ethan heard Jason give him the OK. He hit Nick for underneath the jaw. "You bastard!" Melly screamed. Nick was rubbing his chin as Steven and Val walked up behind Ethan and Elaine. "Excuse me, you once again, have the right to remain silent, anything you say or do...." Steven trailed off as he handcuffed Ethan. "Why am I telling you this? You probably know it by heart." Steve laughed. "You alright?" Val asked going over to Nick. "Yeah, owww, I'm alright. Don't worry. Just get that bastard locked up again." He said. "Come on buddy." Steven said as he escorted Ethan out the door. "You can't arrest my baby...." Elaine began to plead following them out the door. "Shut up mom." Ethan said struggling. "So where is your partner in crime? That Jason jerk?" Steve asked. "I don't know.! " "I don't fall for the kind of shit." Steve said pushing Ethan into the elevator. "Downstairs." He mumbled still trying to get out of the handcuffs. Tears came to Elaine's eyes as she saw her son getting pushed around by an Officer. "Don't take this the wrong way miss... but suck it up. Don't waste your tears." Steve told Elaine as the elevator went down. "Where's Brian?" Melly asked as she handed Nick an ice pack. "In our room, I sent him there to make sure that Jason or someone wasn't waiting. I thought he'd be back by now though." Val said looking towards the door. "Aren't you worried that someone was in the room?" Melly asked wiping the blood from Nick's face. "Naw, He might be talking on the phone or something." Val responded. "You sure you're alright?" She added towards Nick. "I'm fine... don't worry about me." Nick said. ::beep::beep::beep:: Val's pager went off. "What the? Who would be paging me?" Val whispered to herself as she looked at her pager. It read: "638-163" Which was her and Bri's 'secret code'. "Oh, I better call em back." Val said to Nick and Melissa. "Who?" Melly asked. "It's Jackie. She couldn't get a hold of Bri on the cell so she paged me." Val said walking towards the door. "Alright." Nick answered "You get cleaned up, and when I'm done on the phone I'll meet ya back here and then we'll talk to Steve." Val said leaving.
~Steve, Ethan, Elaine, and Jason~
::buzzt:: Steve called Captain Mulder on his radio, "I'm gonna need a squad car at the Crowne Plaza, I'm gonna have two guys in custody." ::buzzt:: "copy." the voice came back. ::knock::knock:: Steve threw his fist against the side of the black panel van where Ethan said Jas was. "Is that you Ethan?" Jas asked before opening the door. "You could say that." Ethan responded from the curb where he sat, still in cuffs. Jason slid the side door of the van open, there stood Steven. "Excuse me, do you have a permit for all of this illegal spying e! equipment?" Steven asked authoritatively. "Uh, um....." was all Jason could respond with. "Yeah that's what I thought, You are also under arrest for illegal equipment." Steve said cuffing Jason. "Go sit over there by your cell mate." Steve said firmly shoving Jason in that direction. ::sirens:: "Take em. Get em outta here. I'll be down in a few to fill out the paper work." Steven said giving the other officers custody. ~~Brian~~ "This is gonna be perfect." Brian whispered as he set the last few things on the table. "Hope it works." The other person said. "Shhhh, here she comes." Brian said as he heard Val begin to open the door. "Where should I go?" "Ummm, slip out down the fire escape on the balcony!" Brian said urging him to walk faster towards the balcony. "Alright, I'm gone." he said as he went down the stairs. "Who was that baby?" Val asked when she walked into the living room area. "Oh, ummm, that was uh......" Brian trailed off.
