~AJ and the others~
AJ gets outside and only sees Kevin, Kristin, Howie, and Tanya out there with the pastor.
“Hey, where’s Brian?” AJ asked nervously.
“He said he needed a few minutes, so he went for a walk.” Howie said.
“Ok, good.” AJ sighs as he sits down.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” Kevin said making everyone laugh because he forgot he was in front of the pastor, “Oh, excuse me father.”
“Oh, nothing. Just running around, you know.” AJ told him.
~Nick & Katie~
“Katie, just come of the bathroom for a few minutes and I swear after everything I say…If you still want me to leave, I will.” Nick said to her as he heard the lock click and the door open. Nick looked at her and couldn’t believe just how beautiful she looked right now.
“Nick, what you did to me was beyond fucked up and you know that! How could you just tell me you were gonna break it with Brie and then go all over the place gallivanting and showing her to the world?!” Katie continued to yell, “I saw you on TV, you took her out and introduced her as your girlfriend at that movie premiere on MTV! Why if you had no intention to stop seeing her, did you tell me you loved me that night? And why did you let me fall for you again? Wait…Why did I let myself fall victim to my emotions again?!” Katie finished her speech and sat down on the bed crying.
“Baby, Don’t cry.” Nick sat down next to her, “I don’t know why…why I did those things to you or what went through my mind. It kills me that I even don’t know why I broke your heart in two…Guess that I was blind.”
“You sure were blind! You were a complete fool…you could have spared us all this crap!” Katie yelled.
“Yes, I've been a fool, but now I see the price I'm paying. I just can't run and hide…cause I am losing you. My chances to be with you just keep slipping away with each time I lie. Sweetie, how I wish you could forgive me, one finally time, and I swear I’ll be here for you and true to only you. Please, Katie, don’t leave me lonely cause I need you.” Nick pleaded to her as Brian walked by and saw the two talking through a crack in the curtain. Brian decided to stay a listen.
“Nick, you have to go. I can’t deal with this again. We’re better off apart…as much as it hurts…it’s for the best.” Katie sobbed.
“What about the baby?” Nick asked.
“How did you find out about that?” Katie looked at him with her tear soaked eyes.
“That doesn’t matter now…is it mine?”
“I don’t know, it could be Brian’s, but I’m having it and gonna raise it with Brian.” Katie looked up a Nick.
“What if it is mine?” Nick whispered.
“I want you to be apart of its life…we just can’t be together.” Katie said.
“Why can’t you marry me and raise the baby with me? Brian can be a part of the baby’s life 100%…but baby, we belong together.” Nick grabbed her, “Living without you will tear me apart…when I know how it could have been. I don’t care what people will think or what us being together could lead to, let’s make a new start and give love a chance to win. I love you.” Nick finished and leaned in to kiss her.
“I can’t Nick.” Katie broke away from the kiss, “I love you…I love you so much but you have to go.”
“Why? Tell me why?!” Nick demanded.
“Because..” Katie began as Brian moved closer to get a better listen, “..no matter how much I will always love you, I love Brian enough not to hurt him again. Especially since he won’t…well won’t leave me and would love me like you never did.”
“How can you say that? I love you more than anyone on this earth!” Nick said loudly.
“Easily, Brian never broke my heart…and never broke a single promise to me.” Katie stood there as a tear slid down Nick’s face. He knew he couldn’t win now.
“Fine, angel, I’ll keep my promise now…I’ll leave since you asked me to.” Nick said walking to towards the door, “I’ll always love you Katelyn.” He said before he walked out the door.
~Ally & Nick~
“So, what happened?!” Ally asked excitedly.
“I lost, I lost her one last time.” Nick said walking away.
“Damn…Nick, wait, what are you gonna do?” Ally ran up to him.
“Go home. I have no reason to be here anymore. Bye.” Nick said moping towards the taxis to the airport.
~Ally & Katie~
“What were you thinking letting him leave?” Ally said entering the room but Katie didn’t answer. “Hello?! I’m talking to you!”
“I don’t know!” Katie yelled turning around crying, “I don’t know!”
“Aww, girl, I’m so sorry.” Ally said hugging her as Brian returned to the wedding site. He knew what he had to do.
“Thanks, but it’s for the best, right?” Katie asked Ally as there was a knock at the door before Ally could answer.
“Is it show time, ladies?” AJ said through the door.
“Yes! Let’s go get me married.” Katie said finishing freshening up and walking out the door.
~At the Wedding~
“We’re ready.” Ally told everyone and gave AJ thumbs down at the same time. His smile dropped. It was up to Katie to stop this now. The organist began to play beautiful music as Ally, Kristin, and Tanya walked down the aisle as Katie’s bridesmaids and AJ, Kevin, Howie, and most importantly, Brian, took their spots at the alter. Finally, the wedding march began. Katie walked down slowly and took Brian’s arm when she reached the altar.
“Dearly Beloved…” the pastor began as many thoughts ran through Brian’s head.
“She needs to be happy..” Brian said thinking to himself as he smiled at her, “I know what I have to do here.”
The short but sweet ceremony continued. Brian and Katie exchanged their vows, I do’s, and now was the pivotal moment Ally & AJ were waiting for.
“Is there anyone who knows a reason why these two should not be joined…speak now or forever hold your peace.” the pastor said.
“I do.” Brian said as everyone gasped loudly and Katie looked at him in shock. “Because Katie, you’re in love with Nick.”
Everyone stared back and forth between Katie & Brian waiting for one of them to speak.
