Here you will find an introduction to the heroes of my novel in progress. The novel is called 'The Kingship Wars' and is loosely based on the workings of early medieval politics, with a mixture of fantasy thrown in.

KYRIELL - King of the realm known as Empyrdia, Kyriell possesses dark locks, storm grey eyes and a proud, frosty personality. With such an arrogant haughtiness, he does not suffer fools easily and his temper often erupts, especially upon his younger brother. However he is not a cruel king, and oft times uses his determined ruthlessness to do what is best for his country and his people. This makes him well respected by most, but also creates enemies against him.

MARCUS- Prince of the Realm and younger brother of Kyriell by 4 years, Marcus is more jovial and outgoing. Sporting a golden brown head of hair, with twinkling copper eyes and boyish good looks, he is more prone to enjoying the ladies and a night spent drinking and gambling. His carefree ways are often the cause of arguments between him and his brother, as Kyriell considers Marcus as being incapable of excepting his proper duties as prince.

BARCOS - Mercenary and friend of Marcus. Muscular, hairy and usually drunk, Barcos is a man of immense proportions. With jet black hair and beard and coal black eyes, he has a moody and gruff personality. With his array of weapons, he also presents a fearsome sight. However he has a protective nature, which makes him a loyal friend. Born a member of a tribal plains people known as Berserkers, he has the sometimes unpopular habit of transforming into a bear whenever his emotions get too fired up. While this can be useful in a fight, it gets annoying (and messy!) when it happens during the throes of passion. As such, Marcus does his best to keep Barcos away from amorous barmaids!
