Poems, poems, and more poems . . .

So this is where I do all my rhymin' and venting about various things happening in my life. I have now dedicated this page as well as the poem below to someone who was really special to me and lost his life on June 7, 2003 - DARREN C. RHODES (Rest in Peace)

Each poem has its own link for the sake of space. I will be updating this page as often as possible. Currently, there are five poems to which you can link. The last poem was written for a former friend in memory of his uncle and father-- R.I.P. Fuddy and Big Moe.

Darren

a warm smile. and with your heart you gave. that's what so many people here on earth still rave. your sudden departure left so many of us torn. but know this D, your memory still lives on.

i wish i had known the last time i saw you was goodbye. 'cause when i got the call, all i could do was cry. and i miss you everyday D. my true love for you nobody could ever really see.

it is true. no man knows the day or the hour. and i do believe that only God has all power. and He has a way of letting us say goodbye to those we love. and when it's time, He sends to us what we need most - a dove and peace in the storm, a ram in the bush. but throught it all D, your memory still lives on.

i miss you so much. perhaps because i took for granted you'd always be here. i would have never thought your end was near. you were that smiling face and heart of laughter. so pure and genuine. even death can't erase that or bring up rapture.

i would love to see you just one more time. so i can tell you how you really made me feel. how if i've ever told you "i love you" it was real. to just hug you once more and give you a proper goodbye. to spend and entire day with you, not noticing how time can fly. wherever you are, i hope you're happy and where you want to be. cause without you here, it's sad for me. a part of my spirit left with you. but a part of you is still here with me. although i'm sad, i'm willing to let death be. cause no matter whether you're here in the flesh or spirit alone, you're memory D still lives on.

I love and miss you!
