what is the truth?
Would you stop for a moment?!
Haven't you thought-one day- about yourself ?
Who has made it?
Have you seen a design which hasn't a designer ?!
Have you seen a wonderful, delicate work without a worker ?!
It's you and the whole universe!..
Who has made them all ?!!
You know who ?
It's "ALLAH",prise be to him.
Just think for a moment.
How are you going to be after death ?!
Can you believe that this exact system of the universe and all of these great creation will end in nothing...just after death!
Have you thought, for a second, How to save your soul from Allah's punishment?!
Haven't you thought about what is the right religion?!
Read ... and think deeply before you answer
It is religion of Islam.
It is the religion that Mohammad-peace upon him- the last prophet, had been sent by.
Isn't it worth it for general
Information to know about what other believes?!
Jesus (pbuh) said :-
"Seek the truth and the truth will set you free"
Is God one or three?
Is Jesus God or part of God?
What do you think??
What is your answer??
Let us get the answer from the Bible:
One came and said unto him, Good Master, what good
Thing shall I do. That I may have eternal life? And he(Jesus)
Said unto him, why callest thou me good*? There is none good
But one, that is, God. But if thou wilt enter into life, keep the
Commandments.
(Matthew 19:16-17)
Why callest thou me good?
Or in modern English " why do you call me good "we
Would not find this wording and meaning in some Bible! This text is found in king James
Version. Don`t take my word for it! CHECK your Bible!
Several questions can be asked about the above verses.
Some of the more intuitive ones are:
"why do you call me good?"
why did Jesus question his own goodness?
Jesus emphatically stated that
"there is none good but one, that is, God"
Why did he refer to the one God as the " good" one only?
Why did he exclude himself from being good, if he were God?
Jesus explicitly pointed out that
" if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments."
Why didn`t Jesus command the questioner to believe in him (Jesus) as God in order
To enter into eternal life?
Based on Jesus` testimony, Isn`t keeping the commandments enough for getting
Eternal life?
Now, let us re-read verses of Matthew (19:16-17) as stated in King James
Version and the same verses as reported in the New International Version
Of the HOLY BIBLE.
One came and said unto . him, Good Master, what good
Thing shall I do.
That I may have eternal life? And he
Said unto him, why callest thou me good?
There is none good
But one, that is, God.
(in king James version)
.Now a man came up to Jesus and asked
"Teacher, what
good thing must I do to get eternal life?"
"why do you ask me about what is good? " Jesus replied.
"there is only one who is good. If you want to enter life,
obey the commandments."
(in the new international version) .
To make is easy to compare, here are Jesus` two different questions:
According to King James version (KJV), in simple English, Jesus asked:
Why do you CALL ME GOOD?
But, according to the New International Version (NIV), Jesus said:
Why do you ASK ME ABOUT WHAT IS GOOD?
Please honestly camper between Jesus` question in the King James Version and
His questions in the New International Version. Do they have the same
Meaning? Can they both be correct?
Going back to the critical question, Is Jesus God?, I think that if Jesus
Were God or part of God, his logical response would be to approve of what the
Questioner called him (i.e., "Good Master").
Sound reasoning and plain logic tell us that God is good. And if Jesus were
God or part of God (part of the Trinity) he MUST BE GOOD! Don`t
you agree?
Presumably, some of the possible, expected response that Jesus cold utter in response
To the young man saying "Good Master" include:
#"certainly, I am good, for I am god."
#"you are right. I am good"
#or at least, knowing that he was obviously good, being God or a manifestation of
God, Jesus could have answered the young man without taking issue
with his words by saying:
"if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandment"
But, astonishingly, Jesus responded to the young man`s words "Good Master"
With something unexpected! He denied that he was good, wondering, "why do you call
Me good?"
So, instead of denying his goodness, wouldn`t it have been more reasonable
For Jesus to seize this occasion and acknowledge that he was good, since he was God or
A manifestation of the one God, if such were the case? Why would he refer to the true God
Alone, and not reveal his own `good` divinity? Was he hiding the truth about himself from
the questioner?
.Now this is life eternal, that they know you, the ONLY
True God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
(john 17:3)
In this verse, Jesus again distinguishes himself from the ONLY true God! It is this true God
who created and sent Jesus. So, who has the full authority to command and send? The ONLY
true God or Jesus?
Who is greater, the one who orders and sends or the one who is
ordered and sent?
There is one God and one mediator between God
And men, the man Christ Jesus.
(1 Timothy 2:4)
This verse points to two identities:
(1) one God, and (2) one mediator (Jesus)! Jesus is described as " the man"
the verse did not call him " the God Christ Jesus " in fact, nowhere in the Bible is Jesus called
God!!.
To further discuss and answer the question, Is Jesus God or part of God?, let us
Carefully, critically, and objectively read the following parts of verses reported in Matthew 4:1-10
Then Jesus was led by the spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil.
After fasting forty days and forty night, he was hungry.
Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all
The kingdoms of the world and their splendor.
He (the devil) said to him ( Jesus),
"All these I will give you, if you will
Fall down and worship me".
Let me share with you some of the questions and thoughts that stroke my mind
After reading the above verses:
1) The Bible says, " Jesus was led by the spirit into the desert…" I wonder who has
more authority and more power, Jesus or the spirit? Why didn`t Jesus lead himself
to the desert if he were God? Does God need someone to lead him?
2) Based on the testimony of the above verses, the devil (Satan) tempted Jesus
who is considered to be God by some Christians. The simple and logical question
that could be raised is: Can God be tempted?
The same Bible tells us that God can`t be tempted! This fact is uttered by Jesus, in the same story
Of temptation. Similarly, James, the brother of Jesus,
Said:
Did these verses trigger any questions or thoughts in you mind?
*" God cannot be tempted by evil, and he
himself tempts no one.
(James 1:13)
3) The Bible reports that "after fasting forty days and forty nights, he (Jesus) was
hungry" analyzing this verse, let`s reason together:
Does God fast?
To whom was Jesus fasting? To himself as God or to someone who
is greater than him?!!
Does God feel hungry or thirsty?
4) in the story of `the temptation of Jesus` (you find this heading in several Bible)
we came to discover that the devil (Satan) moved and controlled Jesus! Did Satan
do that with Jesus the man or Jesus the God? If Satan did that with Jesus the man, what
is the point? And if the devil did that with Jesus the God, can God be tried, moved, and controlled?
Let`s remember James` word, "God cannot be tempted by evil.."
At the end of the dialogue between Jesus and Satan and after Satan asked Jesus to
"fall down and worship" him, Jesus said to the devil:
*worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only"
(Matthew 4"10)
I assume. If Jesus were God incarnate, he might have easily responded, " no Satan, it is
You who must fall down and worship me, your God!" but instead he invoked the above
Scripture about worshipping the true God ONLY.
On the other hand, we learned from the story that:
Satan SAW Jesus.
Satan SAID TO Jesus.
Satan HEARD Jesus.
Satan TOOK Jesus.
Satan SHOWED Jesus.
Satan SPOKE WITH Jesus.
(please read the whole story of the temptation of Jesus, Matthew 4:1-10)
But, the Bible emphatically indicates that GOD CANNOT BE SEEN OR HEARD.
*NO one has ever seen him. And no one can see him.
(1 Timothy 6:16)
*you have never heard His voice nor seen His shape.
(John 5:37)
*Now to the king eternal, immortal, invisible, the only
God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen
(1 Timothy 1:17)
Additionally, before I conclude this section, let me ask: During Jesus` life on earth
Didn`t his family, people, and followers see and hear him?
Therefore, according to the description of God in the above verses, Jesus cannot be
God. Isn`t this reasonable and logical? So, what is truth? Think about it!
# Are God the father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit EQUAL?
#Is God the son (Jesus) EQUAL with God the father?
#Is God the son (Jesus) EQUAL with God the Holy Spirit?
Let us see what Jesus himself says:
*My father is greater than I (Jesus)
(John 14:28)
*My father, who gave them to me, is greater than all.
(John 10:29)
*What I teach is not my own teaching, but it comes from God,
who sent me.
(John 5:30)
*I can of my own self do nothing: as I hear,
I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek
Not my own will, but the will of the father who has
Sent me.
(John 5:30)
* No one knows, however, when that day or hour will
come neither the angels in heaven, nor the son; only the
Father Knows.
(mark 13:32)
*Anyone who says something against the son of man
can be forgiven, but whoever says something against
the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven-now or ever.
(Matthew 12:32)
After reading these clear-cut statements as well as many others
Spoken by Jesus himself, what can we conclude?
Based on Jesus` honest and frank testimony that the only true God (the Father)
Is greater than him and greater than the Holy Spirit, that what he teaches is not his,
That he and Holy Spirit know nothing about the last day, and that he can do nothing of himself,
A sincere seeker of the truth should accept what Jesus says about himself and not make
Him God or the equal of God!
Let me discuss another significant question.
#Is Jesus the only son of God?
Let us get the answer from the Bible:
*Adam is the son of God.
(Luke 3:38)
*Israel is my first-born son.
(Exodus 4:22)
*The Lord has said unto me, thou art my son; this
day have I begotten thee."
(Psalms 2:7,KJM).
So, according to the Bible, and announced by the Father himself,
David is another begotten Son {with a capital `S`}!!
*Blessed are the peacemaker, for they will be called
sons of God.
(Matthew 5:9)
Tracing this title : son of God" in the Bible, we can find many "sons of God"
and that Jesus is not the only son.
It can be concluded that the Bible uses this title" son of God" figuratively to mean
Righteous, pious, selected, or God-conscious.
THIS LEADS US TO THE CRUCIAL QUESTION WHICH WE MUST
ASK!!
#So, who was Jesus?
After discussing evidence from the Bible that God is one, NOT THREE, that
Jesus is not God or part of God, that he is not equal with God, and that
He is not the son of God in the literal sense, we must ask: so , who was Jesus?
& Jesus the man
The times that Jesus is referred to as `man` or `son of man` in the
Bible are many. Below are just some verses:
*ye men of Israel , hear these word; Jesus
of Nazareth, was a MAN approved of God among
you by miracles, wonders, and signs.
(Acts 2:22)
These words were uttered by peter, a very dear friend and follower
of Jesus, and he witnessed things closely.
*the son of MAN came eating and drinking.
(Matthew 11:19)
*this MAN is really the prophet.
(John 7:40)
*Now ye seek to kill me, a MAN that hath told you
the truth, which I have heard of God.
(John 8:40 KJV, some Bible do not reveal this truth! Check your Bible!).
At this critical moment of life, Jesus testified himself that he is " a man"
why didn`t he clearly and openly say: "Now you seek to kill me, God incarnate,
who has told you the truth." Is it possible that he was hiding the truth?
& Jesus the prophet
*this is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth.
(Matthew 21:11)
*Jesus said, "A prophet is never accepted in his
home town."
(Luke 4:24)
*I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than
his master, nor is a messenger greater than
the one who sent him.
(John 13:16)
*Surely this is the prophet who is to come into
the word.
(John 24:19)
These are just some of the many Biblical verses which point out that
Jesus was a prophet and a messenger of the one true God! Again, nowhere
in the Bible he is called God.
A final CRITICAL AND SIGNIFICANT PIECE OF INFORMATION ABOUT
JESUS!
What are the implications and conclusions that we can derive from the
above-cited Biblical texts?
Conclusions:
The above statements from the Bible from the a coherent message that there is
Only one God
"….I am the only God besides me there is
No other God; there never was and never will be.
I alone am the LORD, the only one who can save
You"
(Isaiah 43:10-11)
"I am the Lord your God and I tolerate on partners."
(Exodus 20:5)
Hundreds of similar statements occur in the Bible, as compared to just a few which
contradict them*
*please see the notes following these conclusions.
" In his life on earth Jesus made his prayers
and requests with loud cries and tears to God
who could save him from death. Because he
was humble and devoted, God heard him."
(Hebrews 5:7)
A final thought….
After reading this booklet carefully, critically and
Open-mindedly; a sincere, honest, and serious
Seeker of the truth might raise questions like:
# So, what is the truth?
# Who is the true God?
# What is his true message?
# What went wrong?
After the creation of Adam, just one
original message has been repeatedly
delivered to mankind throughout the
history of humanity.
Thus, to remind people about it and bring
them back on track, many prophets and
messengers including Adam, Noah,
Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad
were sent by the only true God to convey
this message:
The true God is only ONE.
Worship Him ALONE and
keep His commandments.
The True God, The Creator
sent:
Adam, Noah , Abraham , Moses , Jesus, Muhammad
To convey that
God is One
God sent these major prophets as
well as many other prophets and
messengers to accomplish several tasks
and missions, some of which are:
1) To receive guidance from God and
deliver it to people.
2) To convey the message that God is One.
3) To be role models to their people.
4) To instruct their people to fear God
and keep His commandments.
5) To teach their followers important
religious and moral tenets and worldly
matters.
6) To guide those who deviated, disobeyed
God, or worshipped other gods or idols.
7) To tell people about their final
destination (the Last Day) and what leads
to Paradise or Hellfire.
It is the same God who created
and sent those prophets and messengers.
He is the Creator of all humans, all
animals, and all objects. It is this ONE
TRUE GOD who created the whole
universe (including nature) and all it
contains. He is the Creator of life, death,
and life after death.
The Oneness of this true God, the
Creator, is clearly evident and easily
traceable in the holy scriptures of the
Jews, Christians, Muslims, and others.
Studying the concept of God in
the Bible and the Qur’an sincerely and
objectively, a sincere seeker of the truth
would be able to discern the unique
qualities belonging to the true God only.
Some of the qualities that
distinguish this only true God from
others who claim to be God are:
This true God is Creator, not created.
This true God is ONE, not three or
more! He has no partners nor equals.
This one true God is invisible; no one
can see Him in this life. He is not
physically manifested or incarnated in
other forms.
This one true God is eternal; He does
not die or change.
This one true God is not in need of
anyone like a mother, a wife, or a son;
or anything like food, drink, or help.
But others are in need of Him.
This one true God is unique in His
attributes; no one is like Him. No
human or animal descriptions can be
attributed to Him.
We can use these criteria and
qualities (as well as other ones belonging
to Him alone) in examining and rejecting
any claims of being God.
Some Christians might
wonder, “It is obvious
that God is one. We
believe in one God.
So, what is the point?”
Christianity and dialogues with many
Christians, I came to understand that
they perceive this one God to include:
1- God the Father.
2- God the Son.
3- God the Holy Spirit.
So, based on common sense and
simple logic, a sincere and honest seeker
of the truth could reason:
What do you mean by saying that
GOD is ONE, while you refer to
THREE GODS?
Is God ONE in THREE or THREE
in ONE (1 in 3 or 3 in 1)?!
In addition to that, and according
to Christian dogmas, these three “Gods”
have different identities, images, roles,
and functions:
1. God the Father = the Creator.
2. God the Son = the Savior.
3. God the Holy Spirit= the Counselor.
By the way, if Jesus, God the Son
(or Son of God) is really God or part of
the one God, doesn’t this contradict what
the Bible itself reports that no one can
see God, nor hear His voice? The Bible
states:
YOU HAVE NEVER HEARD HIS
VOICE NOR SEEN HIS FACE.
(John 5: 37)
NO ONE HAS EVER SEEN HIM.
AND NO ONE CAN SEE HIM. (1
Timothy 6: 16)
NO ONE CAN SEE ME AND
STAY ALIVE. (Exodus 33: 20)
Based on these and other Biblical
texts, I sincerely and honestly ask: “How
can we reconcile the dogma that Jesus is
God and the Biblical testimony that no
one has ever seen God, nor heard His
voice?”
Didn’t the Jews at his time, his
family, and his followers SEE Jesus
(God the Son, as some believe!) and
HEAR his voice?
Is there any secret or hidden purpose
concerning the truth about God?
In the Bible, the true God
emphatically testifies,
“I am the Lord,
and there is no other god. I have not
spoken in secret or kept my purpose
hidden… I am the Lord, and I speak the
truth; I make known what is right.”
(Isaiah 45: 19)
So, what is the truth?
Now, let us take off on a journey
of seeking the truth about the one true
God in the Bible and the Qur’an.
At the end of this journey and after
your critical, sincere, honest, and
thoughtful reading of this booklet and
particularly the verses cited below, I
would like to know your reactions or
views.
To be as objective as possible,
I cite the verses without any comment.
Please read the following verses
CAREFULLY, CRITICALLY
And
WITHOUT ANY PRECONCEPTIONS.
The One True God in the Bible
(The Old Testament):
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is
one Lord. (Deuteronomy 6: 4)
Has not the One God made and
sustained for us the spirit of life?
(Malachi 2: 15)
You may know and believe Me and
understand that I am He. Before Me
no god was formed, nor shall there
be any after Me. I, I am the Lord,
and besides Me there is no Savior.
(Isaiah 43: 10-11)
I am the first and I am the last;
besides Me there is no god. Who is
like Me? (Isaiah 44: 6)
And there is no other god besides
Me, a righteous God and a Savior;
there is none besides Me. Turn to Me
and be saved…To Me every knee
shall bow . (Isaiah 45: 21-23)
THESE ARE JUST SOME VERSES
FROM THE OLD TESTAMENT.
Can you think of
other similar ones?
The One True God in the Bible
(The New Testament):
One came and said unto him, Good
Master, what good thing shall I do,
that I may have eternal life? And he
(Jesus) said unto him, Why callest
thou me good? There is none good
but one, that is, God.
(Matthew 19: 16-17,
in King James Version)
Now this is life eternal, that they
know you, the only true God, and
Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
(John 17: 3)
Worship the Lord your God, and
serve Him only. (Matthew 4: 10)
Hear O Israel: The Lord our God is
One Lord . (Mark 12: 29)
For there is one God and there is one
mediator between God and men, the
man Christ Jesus. (1Timothy 2: 5)
Can you recall other
verses confirming that
GOD IS ONLY ONE?
(NOT THREE!)
The One True God in the Qur’an
Say: He is Allah, the One; Allah, the
Eternal, Absolute; He begets not, nor
is He begotten; and there is none like
unto Him. (112: 1-4)
There is no god but I; so worship
Me. (21: 25)
They disbelieve who say: Allah (God)
is one of three, for there is no god
except One God . If they desist not
from their word (of blasphemy),
verily, a grievous chastisement will
befall the disbelievers among them.
(5: 73)
Can there be another god besides
Allah (God)? Nay, most of them
know not. (27: 61)
Can there be another god besides
Allah (God)? High is Allah above
what they associate with Him.
(27: 63)
Can there be another god besides
Allah (God)? Say, ‘Bring forth your
proof, if ye are telling the truth!’
(27: 64)
Can there be another god besides
Allah (God)? Nay, most of them
know not. (27: 61)
Can there be another god besides
Allah (God)? High is Allah above
what they associate with Him.
(27: 63)
Can there be another god besides
Allah (God)? Say, ‘Bring forth your
proof, if ye are telling the truth!’
(27: 64)
Indeed, this message concerning
the Oneness of God (i.e.,
Tawheed in Arabic) is the
essential theme of the Qur’an.
Conclusions
These verses as well as hundreds
of similar pieces of evidence in the Bible
and the Qur’an confirm this one, eternal
message that the true God is only ONE.
“Turn to me now and be saved, people
all over the world! I AM THE ONLY
GOD THERE IS.” (Isaiah 45: 22)
Not only does the Bible affirm that
God is only ONE, but it also reveals that
the true God, the Creator, is the only
Savior.
“Before Me no god was formed,
nor shall there be any after Me . I, I am
the Lord, and besides Me there is no
Savior.” (Isaiah 43:10-11)
So, according to this affirmation,
all other supposed gods or deities like
Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Brahma,
Vishnu, Shiva, Krishna, or Buddha are
neither gods nor manifestations of the
ONE TRUE GOD.
It was because of such false beliefs
that after the Jews worshipped other
gods,
“the Lord’s anger burned against
them.”
(Numbers 25: 3) Likewise, Moses
destroyed the golden calf.
On the other hand, the Essenes, an
early Christian unitarian community,
endured torture and persecution because
they refused to exchange Jesus’
monotheistic teachings for the Pauline
innovation of the trinity.
To sum up, all God’s prophets
including Adam, Noah, Abraham,
Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad were sent
by the same God, the Creator, to convey
the same message:
The true God is only ONE. Worship
Him ALONE and keep His
commandments.
And since those prophets and
messengers preached the same one
message, their religion must be the
same one! So, what is the religion of
those prophets and messenger?
Submission to the will of God is
the essence of the message of those
prophets. This word ‘SUBMISSION’
means ‘ISLAM’ in Arabic.
The Qur’an does confirm that
‘Islam’ is the true religion of all God’s
prophets and messengers. This
Qur’anic fact is also traceable in the
Bible itself!
And this is what will be discussed
in the upcoming booklet, God willing!
Ultimately, to attain salvation, we
must receive and believe in the abovementioned
message willingly and
wholeheartedly. Nevertheless, doing this
is not enough! We must also believe in
all God’s true prophets (including
Prophet Muhammad) and follow their
true guidance and teachings. This is the
gateway to a happy, eternal life!
One more thing…
Those who are sincere,
honest, serious, objective, and
open-minded in seeking the
truth, and after thinking
critically about this one
message, they may ask
questions like:
So, what is the truth?
What can I do?
You CAN sincerely believe in your only
true God (Allah), believe in His last
messenger, and utter the following:
I testify that there is no god worthy
of worship but the One true God
(Allah) and that Muhammad is the
messenger of God (Allah).
This testimony is the first step
on the way to eternal life and the
real key to the gate of Paradise.
If you decide to take this way; you can contact
your Muslim friend, the nearest Islamic center, or
me (I will be very happy to help).
Yes, you can do it!
Islam
Submission to the Will of the Creator, the
true God (Allah). One can attain real
happiness and peace of mind only through
submission and obedience to the true God.
Muhammad
The last Prophet of the one true God (Allah).
Qur’an
The Word of God revealed to Prophet
Muhammad.
