Disclaimer- I do not own any characters mentioned in this fic. I might throw in a few items that I do own, though. So be on the lookout. I don’t know. It depends on my mood. I think up some of my best ideas in Satori’s room…it’s funny actually. I hang out there a lot. It’s just down the hall, and it’s a bunch better than listening to my sister (the HAMSTER) squeak. Back to the point though. I don’t own the Weiß guys, or the Schwarz, or you know, any other people in this fic. Enjoy! “I got it!” Omi cried, racing out the door. He swung open the door and leaned out, opening the mailbox. He waved at the mailman as he ran back inside. “Mail! Mail! I got the mail!!” Yohji mumbled as the excited blond ran past, knocking the lit cigarette out of his hands. “Omi-chan!! Slow down!” he yelled after him. “I got the maaaiiiillll!!!” “Oh God…” Omi stood in the middle of the living room, holding a letter in his hands. “Look! It’s for me! Yay!” Omi ripped open the envelope and a single sheet of paper floated out into his hand. “What’s it say?” Ken asked. By then Omi had managed to get all his comrades into the room by his shouting. Omi began to read the letter aloud. “Miss Omi…wait…Miss? What is this…?” “Hell! Keep readin’!!” Yohji said, leaning over Omi’s shoulder. “OK…Miss Omi: We are happy to tell you that you have been accepted to Wellington’s Prestigious School for Girls. We here at Wellington’s believe you will be a great addition to the school. Due to your outstanding record, we will be accepting requests to be put in any honor classes. Please fill out the form on the back of this letter with all the information required. According to our records you have already paid the boarding fee, which is very good. You will be expected to be at the school by June 21st. There will be a meeting held in the school auditorium to discuss the year’s itinerary. We hope to see you there! Sincerely, Yuki Imasaki Head Mistress” Yohji started laughing and Aya smirked. All Ken and Omi could do was stare, mouths agape. “Man, Omi-chan! This is great! Oh my God!” Yohji clapped his hand over Omi’s shoulder and gave it a hearty shake. “B-But Omi…you’re not a girl! You’re a boy!” Ken gasped, biting down on his bottom lip. Omi stared down at the letter and swallowed hard. “How…? Why…? Oh…God…” he muttered, closing his eyes. Aya took the letter out of the fazed boy’s hand and read it over. “Hmm…anyone know how this happened?” Yohji leaned against the wall, taking a long drag off his cigarette. “Nooo idea…” he said, blowing the smoke out slowly, savoring the flavor. He crushed his cancer stick in an ashtray. “Wait, wait, wait…I think I know what happened,” Aya said. “What? How? What?” Omi asked, grabbing him by the front of the shirt. “Hey, Ken…do you remember when Omi didn’t want to take a bath? And we said that if he didn’t we’d send him to a girl’s school?” “Yeah. You even told me to write the letter and send it,” Ken said, nodding. “I didn’t mean for you to actually send it!!” “Oh! You mean…you were joking?! Oh no…Omi! I sent it! I sent the letter!” Ken cried, resting his head in his hands. Omi put his hands on Ken’s shoulders and shook his head. “Oh, Ken…I know you didn’t mean it…” “You know what this means, don’t you?” Aya asked, raising an eyebrow and crossing his arms over his chest. Omi looked over at him. “Huh?” “You have to go. We paid for the boarding fees.” “What?! You knew?!” Omi stepped back from Aya and charged, tackling him, and pinning him to the ground. “N-No! I got a bill a little while ago! Something about girls! I figured it was a whore-bill for Yohji! He wasn’t home and it had a deadline. As much as I hate him I thought it wouldn’t be good if he got shipped off to prison. It would make it easier for Schwarz if one of us were missing, ya know? Anyways, I paid it, sent it, and you’re off, buddy!” Aya explained, wriggling beneath Omi’s body weight. “Oh God…” Omi slumped over and Aya gently pushed the boy off. “But…” he lay on the floor, staring at the ceiling. “Wellington’s…isn’t that all the way in America?” “Yeah…I think so…” Yohji said, lighting up another cigarette and taking a long drag. “When do you leave?” “June 21st,” Omi muttered, rolling over on his stomach. “We have about a week…” Ken said. Aya was already on the phone making flight reservations. Omi groaned and rolled on the floor. Yohji sighed and pulled the boy up. “Hup hup, Omi-chan. Look at the bright side! In a school…surrounded by girls…” Yohji waggled his eyebrows and smiled. “Doesn’t sound so bad, does it?” He then noticed that he couldn’t see Ken’s right hand… “Oh God!” he cried as he jumped backward, hands held out like he was warding off demons. Omi and Ken stared at him while Aya talked about the tickets on the phone. “You, uh, you don’t like girls much do ya, Omi-chan?” “Not particularly.” Omi smiled at Ken and he smiled back. Yohji took in a deep breath and flexed his fingers. “I’m going for a walk. Anyone care to join me?” “Sure I’ll go…what about you, Omi?” Ken said, draping an arm around his koi’s shoulders. “No one? OK! Your loss…” Yohji said, walking towards to door. “But I jus—“ “Bye!” Yohji ran out the door and down the street. FIVE DAYS LATER It was the day Omi was supposed to leave. His bags were packed and he had his tickets in his pocket. Yohji had not returned yet, and they were getting worried. “Well…I should be leaving soon…tell Yohji-kun I said bye…” Omi turned sadly. Aya took him by the shoulder and turned him around. “Oh no! You’re not leaving yet! Not dressed like that!” Omi looked down at himself. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and shorts. “What? What’s wrong?” 20 MINUTES LATER Yohji walked into the house slowly, leaving the smell of cigarettes and alcohol in his wake. He stumbled into the living room where Aya, Ken, and some girl stood. He looked the girl over. She was blushing deeply and holding her school bag in front of her chest. The cute girl was wearing a schoolgirl outfit. Yohji could’ve sworn he had had an outfit like that in his closet. He’d dated a stripper once. “What’s this?” Yohji slid his sunglasses down the bridge of his nose and smiled. “Who’s this hot little dish?” Yohji walked up to the girl and put his hand under her chin, tilting her head up. He brought his hand back down to his side and looked at Ken. “OHH eh...” He turned away from him and looked at Aya. “She yours? Well well, Aya. Didn’t know you had it in you! She yours? She’s a cute one!” “Oh no, Yohji. She came ‘round looking for you. Why don’t you give her what she wants?” Aya said, smirking. Ken stifled a snicker and nodded. “Oh OK…what’s your name, sweet thang?” Yohji asked, smiling. “It’s Omi!!” the girl said in a soft voice. She sounded like she was on the brink of tears. “That’s funny, baby. I have a friend named Omi. But he’s already on the plane to—“ Yohji looked the girl over again and gasped. “OMI?! OH MY GOD!” Aya and Ken started laughing and had to support each other so they wouldn’t fall. “I JUST HIT ON OMI!! OH MY GOD!!” “Yohji-kun! You came home!” Omi threw his arms around the shocked man and hugged him tightly. Yohji swallowed hard and grabbed a Polaroid camera off the table. “Hold still, Omi-chan,” he said, pulling the boy off and taking a quick picture. “Great…well…I should be going. See you at the next break, Omi-chan!” Yohji walked past them and reached into the kitchen cabinet. He grabbed a bottle of hand lotion and chuckled, disappearing to his room. “D-Did you guys just see that?!” Omi gasped, whirling around to look at Ken and Aya. “We didn’t see anything,” Aya said as Ken shook his head. “But he walked right past yo—“ “We didn’t see anything…” Aya repeated, giving Omi a hard look. Omi swallowed hard and nodded. “Right. Well, I should be leaving…” “I’m riding to the airport with you, you know,” Ken said, coming towards him. “Really?” Omi asked, smiling. “Yeah. Come on.” Ken opened the door and they got into Yohji’s car. “We’re going to have to hot wire it I think…” Omi smiled and held up the keys. “How the…? Yohji never leaves his keys in the car!” “I grabbed them from his pocket when I hugged him.” “I see…” Ken took the keys and started up the car. “Let’s go then!” “Try not to run into anything…” “Geez! Run into one parked car and no one ever lets you forget about it!” Ken muttered, shifting the vehicle into drive. AT THE AIRPORT They arrived at the airport minutes before the plane was scheduled to take off. Omi climbed out pf the car and stood with his bag held in front of him. “Here I go, Ken…to…further my…education…” Tears began to well up in his big blue eyes and he began to cry. Ken got out of the car and wrapped his arms around him. “Omi-chan…it’s OK, Omi-chan!” he crooned into the boy’s ear. “No it’s not! I’m going to a new school…I won’t have any friends…plus I don’t even belong there!!” Omi cried into Ken’s chest. He stroked Omi’s hair and smiled. “Oh Omi-chan…” Ken leaned down and whispered in Omi’s ear. “Fooled you.” Omi stopped crying and wiped his eyes on his sleeve. “Nani? What do you mean, Ken-kun?” “It was a joke!! Me and Aya typed up the letter and put it in the mailbox before you woke up!” Omi’s eyes widened and he looked up at the chuckling Ken. “A…joke?” “Yeah! Great one, huh?” THE NEXT DAY Ken lay in the hospital bed silently. The rest of the Weiß guys stood beside the bed watching him. “Gee, I’m sorry, Ken! When I hit you I didn’t think you’d stumble backwards and get crushed by a runaway luggage dolly and end up in a body cast!” Omi exclaimed, clutching Ken’s bandaged hand. “It’s…OK…Omi…chan…” Ken winced from the effort of speaking and closed his eyes. Yohji chortled and bit down on his lower lip. “Some joke, huh? So funny that it broke all the bones in your body! Man…you guys know how to have fun! Great!” Yohji grinned and laughed again. Omi turned red and punched him square in the jaw. “Shut up!” “Ow! That hurts! Damn, Omi!” Yohji gasped and fell on the floor. “Don’t insult my Ken-kun!” Omi cried as Yohji crawled off floor, rubbing his jaw. “Alright…sheesh…what’s wrong with you?” “I think he’s still a bit touchy about that little joke we played…” Aya said. Omi pouted and looked down at the floor. “Oh…I’m sorry, Omi-chan…you know I didn’t know about it,” Yohji said, rubbing his hands together. “If I had…do you think I’d have hit on you?” Omi shook his head and sighed. “You guys scared the hell out of me. I didn’t want to go an all girls’ school…I didn’t want to leave you guys!” Omi pulled both Aya and Yohji into a hug and smiled. “But I don’t have to leave!” “Yeah…” Yohji patted Omi’s back and smiled. “Hey, what are you going to do to Aya? He was in on the joke, ya know? I mean…you put Ken in a body cast. It’s only fair that you do something as equally horrible to his partner. Right?” Aya smacked Yohji’s arm and scowled as Omi let them go and stood thinking. “But it’s not like you to want revenge, Omi…” Aya said. Ken grunted, trying to get the others’ attention. No one noticed. “I think you do deserve something, Aya. I think Omi should sock you good. He hit me, and I wasn’t even in on it!” “Shut up!” Aya hissed as Omi thought it over. “Hmm…maybe Yohji-kun’s right…” Omi said, rubbing his chin. “No…Omi…” 15 MINUTES LATER Aya was placed in the hospital bed next to Ken’s. The nurse said he had broken both arms and twisted his right ankle. Omi apologized repeatedly. “I swear I didn’t know there was a stairwell right outside the door, Aya-kun!” he cried, giving Aya’s hand a tight squeeze. “Ah, ah, ah!” Aya hissed as his injured arm was touched. He apologized again and backed away. Omi ran into Ken’s bed and heard him groan. “Gosh, Ken-kun! I’m so sorry!!” he started walking backwards, almost running into Yohji. “Watch it, Omi-chan! I want to stay unhooked from the I.V.!” Yohji said as he stepped away from his path. “I think I should just leave now…” Omi said, looking down. “Yeah. Kudou! Drive him home!” Aya commanded, nodding his head towards the door. “Alright. I want to leave anyways. They won’t let me smoke in here,” Yohji retorted, taking Omi’s hand and charging out the door. “Omi wait!” Ken groaned. Omi pulled out of Yohji’s grip and ran back into the room. “Ken-kun? Is something wrong? Do you want me to stay?” “No, no, no…I have an itch. Can you grab a hanger out of the closet and unbend it for me? Then will you stick it in the thumbhole here and scratch my wrist? Please, Omi-chan? Please?” Omi sighed and nodded, heading towards the closet. “Thanks.” “No problem…” Omi unbent the wire into a straight line and came to Ken again. “In through the thumbhole?” “Yeah…” 1 MINUTE LATER “OW MY EYE!!!” “God I’m sorry!!” 5 MIUTES LATER An eye patch and ice pack was applied to Ken’s left eye after Omi accidentally scratched it with the coat hanger. The nurse said it would heal quickly. “Ken-kun!” Omi shouted as Yohji dragged him from the room. “Bye, Omi-chan!” Ken said happily. “C’mon, Omi-chan…we’re going to a place were you won’t hurt anyone…” “Nani?!” 30 MINUTES LATER Yohji pulled to a stop in front of the zoo. They had a fun filled day of cotton candy and stinky, dirty animals in cages. Yohji said it really got him in the mood. For what he never said. And Omi didn’t hurt anybody. Except for when he tried to throw away his cotton candy cone and it flew over the railing and hit a monkey in face. But nobody saw that, so it didn’t count. THE END P.S.: Ken and Aya eventually recovered.
