VE WONG PEPPERED BEEF |
Season Packet: beef oil, salt, soybean paste, soy sauce(soybean, wheat, salt), leeks, monosodium glutamate, beef extract powder, spices *note- there are actually 2 season packets, but the ingredient list doesn't tell what is in each one. Spicyness: 2 Comment: There's a definite peppery beef flavor in the broth. Also, there is a large amount of leeks. And they are quite large and provide a refreshing crunch to the broth. The only negative is the greasy feel to the broth. Overall: 4 |
VE WONG SESAME CHICKEN |
Package Size: 3.17oz/90g Soup Base: salt, flavor enhancer monosodium glutamate, artificial chicken flavor, glucose, ginger, spices, stabilizer guar bean bum, yeast extract Oil Packet: palm oil, sesame oil Spicyness: 1 Comment: It's been a long time since I have done a Ve Wong ramen mostly due to them not being in more area to purchase. After mixing all the ingredients together the broth smelled great a nice sesame smell. The flavor was a salty, sesame and slight chicken flavor. This is a simple broth but very refreshing and light. The noodles were chewy and held up well in the broth. Probably the only drawback would be the whopping 76% of your recommended daily sodium in this package. Overall: 5 |
VE WONG KUNG FU ONION FLAVOR |
Package Size; 3oz/85g Soup Base: salt, flavor enhancer monosdodium glutamate, artificial pork flavor, shallot, onion powder, soy sauce powder(soybean, wheat, salt), garlic powder, chives, spices, stabilizer guar bean gum, yeast extract Oil Packet: palm oil Spicyness: 1 Comment: The plam oil packet seemed to have pieces of toasted onion in it, but the ingredient list just listed this as palm oil. The broth was a littly oily but had a great onion flavor. A salty and MSG laden taste was also there but the onion flavor held its on. The noodles were thin but complemented the broth well. Overall a good ramen. Overall: 4 |
